A U.S. appeals court on Friday upheld its decision to put on hold an order by President Joe Biden for companies with 100 workers or more to require COVID-19 vaccines, rejecting a challenge by his administration.
A three-member panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans affirmed its ruling despite the Biden administration's position that halting implementation of the vaccine mandate could lead to dozens or even hundreds of deaths. read more
"The mandate is staggeringly overbroad," the opinion said.
"The mandate is a one-size-fits-all sledgehammer that makes hardly any attempt to account for differences in workplaces (and workers),"

The article didn't say what the vote was, but this is wonderful news. These lefty whack jobs have to learn not to mess with individual liberty. Especially in this case, because this stupid administration would not ever mandate these vaccines for the thousands of illegal invaders coming into the country. Only working people were getting shafted.
BTW, Trump won in 2020 and FJB!!

Halting implementation of the vaccine mandate could lead to dozens or even hundreds of deaths, and yet 18,461 people, at a bare minimum, have died because of the shot, and many more have suffered severe side effects. The manufacturers laugh; immune from lawsuits and raking in tens of billions of dollars (nearly $40 billion for Pfizer alone, accounting for half of their business). These shots should not only be banned from federal mandate, but banned by "independent" employer mandate as well.

By not hearing this case our weakling Supreme Court could avoid the Deep State a lot of trouble and save the livelihoods of millions of US.

Big pharma wants to make money, Dems want to be vaccinated. Simple solution, every Dem gets vaccinated once a week. Win-Win.

I look forward to reading about the lawsuits by fired workers who sue the employers who follow Biden's suggestion that they ignore this ruling.

Bidden and company do not give a darn about the hundreds or thousands that die trying to illegally cross our southern border.

Just finished reading the ruling. This stay is nationwide and permanent until such time that a higher court (SCOTUS) reviews. In order for that to happen, an appeal would have to be filed with Judge Alito, who oversees the 5th, and then SCOTUS would have to agree to take the case if the possibility of reversible error is found.
Given the details of the ruling, it seems very unlikely that SCOTUS would even intervene by reinstating the mandate. The argument against it is very compelling. I would guess that Xiden's mandate is doomed, based strictly upon the arguments for and against brought up.

#11, that probably means that this ends right here. Alito will know that by just doing nothing, the right outcome will happen. Doing nothing is really easy.

The government has no right to order companies to mandate the shot, nor does it have a right to order companies not to mandate it. So while the appeals court ruling was a small victory for employees threatened with termination for not getting the shot, it's a hollow victory, since it doesn't protect them (especially those who work for woke corporations, whose leaders could hardly wait to do whatever Brandon asks of them, whether he orders it or not).

Separately from that, wasn't it the 5th DISTRICT Court of Appeals who issued the stay last week? Which is it, then, Reuters -- District or Circuit? (And what difference does that make?)
