California’s coronavirus case rate is twice Florida’s despite mask mandates and recommendations to prevent the spread of the virus. "You’re paying for your success, which is weird," Ali H. Mokdad, professor of health metrics sciences at the University of Washington, told the Mercury News when asked why Californians aren’t "reaping more reward for their adherence to health guidance." (Snip) California’s vaccination rate is higher than states such as Texas and Florida, but that still hasn’t stopped the outbreaks. Sixty-two percent of California’s total population is fully vaccinated, while Florida reports 60% and Texas 54%. Gov. Gavin Newsom and other California

Masks and the ineffective vaccine only prolong the virus staying viable. The masks are only good to protect others from a wearer sneezing or coughing. The mask does not protect the wearer at all. Works more like a virus aerosol collector.

Of course it doesn't help that California loves all those illegals that keep coming in.

Remember reading that ll of these kids today are allergic to peanut butter because they are too protected? They don't have a chance to build natural immunity. Hence California.

Because they are preventing herd immunity with all vaccinations and the vaccinated are spreading the virus. The more you vaccinate the more virus is out there to spread. This one is not hard to figure out. The mask are worthless and would not matter either way.

Florida is treating the sick with an effective TREATMENT, which is monoclonal antibodies. Anyone who walks into one of many special clinics set up around the state with a positive Wuhan flu test can get the monoclonal antibodies. In most other states that is not the case, the CDC and FDA and the worthless docs are denying this treatment to many/most. A friend is very sick with Wuhan flu now, and was DENIED treatment with monoclonal antibodies at the same time that the damned doctors provided monoclonal antibodies to his wife, both sick at the same time. Somehow, they decided that he didn't deserve it. Because he's a white male? Hell, who knows, but they let him go home without any treatment. His wife recovered very quickly after the monoclonal antibodies treatment and his health headed steadily downhill for 10 days until they hospitalized him. STILL no monoclonal antibodies, although, of course they are most effective when administered early. He is on oxygen and steroids, very weak and they tell him that he may be in the hospital for a few weeks recovering (and the hospital profiting from) from the maltreatment of denying him proper treatment. I am beginning to think that I just hate doctors and think that most of them are just evil, or is are they just stupid? I can no longer tell, and as a class, they have burned through pretty much a life time of good will with me with this hideous performance that the "medical community" has put up. Lies, denied treatment, maltreatment, BS about masks, forced vaccinations with a dangerous, ineffective non-vaccine, denial of well known effective treatment like monoclonal antibodies and more. Just hideous.

Highly-vaccinated Vermont has more COVID-19

As Vermont reports higher than ever COVID-19 case rates, state health officials have been trying to understand why. How can a state that did so well during the first part of the pandemic — even garnering national recognition — be doing so much worse now? "There is not one simple answer," said Vermont Health Commissioner Dr. Mark Levine during a news conference Tuesday. "But, there are clearly factors that have come together to create the situation that we're in now." Slowing the spread is critical right now to prevent Vermont's hospitals from being overwhelmed with people sick with the virus, Levine said.

HELENA, Mont. — A new map dividing Montana into two congressional districts for the first time in decades was finalized Tuesday, triggering disappointment from Democrats who hoped to craft a different western district that would give them a better chance of winning in an increasingly Republican-dominated state. (Snip) In a bitterly disputed process that played out over several months, Democrats managed to keep liberal college towns Missoula and Bozeman in the western district, but lost the state capital of Helena to the solidly red eastern district. The final map was proposed by Republicans on the bipartisan redistricting commission and selected by

The number of container ships stuck off the coast of Southern California reached new records on Tuesday. According to data from the Marine Exchange, a total of 111 container ships are bobbing at sea around the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, waiting to dock and unload. That breaks the previous record of 108 vessels reported on October 21. The two ports remain clogged despite efforts to speed up the processing of containers amid a surge in consumer demand for goods. The White House announced a shift to an around-the-clock schedule in October and a new looming threat of

President Joe Biden's climate envoy John Kerry said the United States won’t have coal plants by 2030. “By 2030 in the United States, we won’t have coal,” Kerry said Tuesday during an interview with Bloomberg at the United Nations's COP26 climate conference in Glasgow, Scotland. “We will not have coal plants.” The U.S., the world’s largest economy, generates nearly 25% of its electricity from coal despite the rapid retirements of coal plants in recent years that have struggled to compete with cheaper and cleaner natural gas and renewable energy. Kerry’s comment is among the most explicit to-date of a Biden

New York - Amid an array of discouraging election results for Democrats last week, there was one under-the-radar outcome that was especially perplexing. In New York, one of the country’s most progressive states, voters overwhelmingly rejected initiatives that would have expanded voting access in future elections. The vote, which came in a year when Republican-led states have passed dozens of laws to restrict voting access, left voting rights advocates stunned.
