The Pennsylvania School Boards Association voted unanimously on Thursday to withdraw from its parent organization, the National School Boards Association, after the national group demanded that the Biden administration use domestic terrorism laws to target parents who want to hold districts accountable for teaching racist curriculum and ignoring the science on masking for children.
“The Pennsylvania School Boards Association was not consulted prior to the letter being sent by the National School Boards Association to President Biden. We were not asked for input nor discussion on its content,” Annette Stevenson, PSBA’s chief communications officer, said in a statement to the Delaware Valley Journal.

When the Bolsheviks seized control of the Russian state during the October uprising, it set off what would come to be known as the Russian civil war. It lasted from 1917 to 1923, when the Bolsheviks finally crushed their opposition. That is the most(snip)important, part of the story. The czarist system had collapsed and in the wake of that collapse came a battle over what would replace it.(snip)This type of conflict would (snip)become the animating dynamic of liberal democracy. On one side is the minority faction of radicals promising to restructure society. The opposition is a disorganized collection of groups who only agree on their opposition

When rioters destroyed 500 businesses in Minnesota alone, CNN called it mostly peaceful protests. When Greta Thunberg galivanted around the world preaching her climate change socialism, CNN talking heads recommended her for a Nobel Peace Prize.
But when parents get noisy at a school board meeting, that's violence. And when a 9-year-old girl speaks at a school board meeting, that is weaponizing children.
CNN weaponized Jennifer Wolfe, New York "State Teacher of the Year," to pen, "When parents scream at school board meetings, how can I teach their children?"
Median teacher pay in New York is $71,723 a year. If she cannot figure it out, she should find another line of work.

The nation's chain of supplies is a mess because ships cannot unload their goods at ports in California. They cannot unload because the trucks aren't there. The trucks aren't there because the EPA banned most of them last October.
(snip)the EPA last October made an agreement. Its spokesman said, "As trucks are one of the largest sources of air pollution in California, EPA will continue to ensure these heavy-duty vehicles have the needed pollution-control equipment and operate in compliance with the rules. These companies have agreed to bring their trucks into compliance and operate more cleanly in all communities they serve."
This was a ban on most trucks serving California's ports.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service wished the Navy Happy Birthday in a tweet on Wednesday with a photo of a Russian ship.
The tweet, now deleted, said:
Happy Birthday to the U.S. Navy! We are grateful and honored to serve and protect this elite force serving around the globe. #USNavyBirthday
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of a graphic of an American flag overlaid onto a picture of a military ship. (snip) The tweet was posted at 7:30 p.m. ET and Twitter users quickly noticed the ship was a Russian cruiser.
An NCIS spokesperson confirmed to Breitbart News on Thursday that it was indeed a Russian ship.

Former President Bill Clinton was hospitalized Tuesday for a urological infection, a source close to the situation told Fox News.
By Thursday evening, the former president, 75, remained hospitalized for monitoring at the University of California Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California, according to spokesperson Angel Urena. (snip)According to Dr. Marc Siegel, professor of medicine at NYU Langone Health and a Fox News medical contributor, "Urinary infections are more common in men at older ages, sometimes involving prostate, sometimes not. They can spread rapidly because of a lot of blood flow to the bladder and kidneys and enter the blood stream causing urosepsis."

Despite President Biden’s announcement Wednesday that the severely backlogged Port of Los Angeles would expand into 24/7 operating hours—similar to the Port of Long Beach—port officials are saying the backlog will continue until the summer of 2022.
Noel Hacegaba, deputy executive director of the Port of Long Beach, said expanding the ports’ operating hours will not impact the supply chain disruptions given the continued shortage of truck drivers, chassis equipment, and warehouse operations and space.
“We think it’ll be summer of 2022 before we clear all 60 ships,” Hacegaba told The Epoch Times Oct. 14. “Of course, if we take some measures now, and everyone in the supply chain starts expanding

Joe Biden — a politician with a long history as a liar, prevaricator, plagiarist, machine pol, pocket-liner, political weather vane, election cheat, and general eff-up — has one idea and one idea alone now that he's president: to expand big government. For him, there's nothing that can't be solved with money. He denies there are costs.
You can see it in his multiple stimulus bills and bailouts that got through thus far, but also in his biggest granddaddy of them all — his $3.5-trillion government spending "reconciliation" bill he's trying to shove through Congress (snip)
There's news for him, from CNN's Chris Cillizza, of all people:

When Champlain Towers South ascended from the beachfront 40 years ago in the quaint Miami suburb of Surfside, the new condominium gleamed with promise.
It was the first swanky high-rise condo in the tiny town, and it solidified the neighborhood as a gathering place for the rich and famous such as Frank Sinatra, who hung out down the road. For its residents (snip) it was all about landing their little slice of paradise.
But even before developers sold off the 136 condominiums to their first owners, the construction had been botched and the building had been set on a course to rot from the foundation up, a USA TODAY

COLUMBIA, S.C. — A prominent South Carolina lawyer has been charged with stealing insurance settlements meant for the sons of his late housekeeper that a lawsuit said total more than $4 million, state police said Thursday.
Alex Murdaugh was arrested at a drug rehab facility in Orlando, Florida, where his attorneys said he has spent the past six weeks since claiming he was shot in the head on the side of a lonely road near his home, authorities said.
The arrest is the latest development in six state police investigations into Murdaugh, including the deaths of his wife and son, millions of dollars missing from the huge law firm founded a century

Ritual humiliation of social media companies is becoming something of a tradition. Most typically, social media CEOs are hauled before Congress, harangued for a day, promise to “do better,” and then go back to business as usual.
Last week a new kind of social media witness appeared: a whistleblower. Frances Haugen emerged with a great deal of fanfare, complete with a public relations firm, a verified account on Twitter, and a fawning entourage, including members of the press and Congress. But instead of denouncing social media for its excessive power, (snip), Haugen pleaded for regulations that happen to align with the peculiar values and interests of Silicon Valley.

If there is one thing most Americans can’t stand, it is flagrant examples of government waste. (snip)We still have government waste today, but with a price tag that is orders of magnitude higher and with this cherry on top: It is causing existential damage to our nation, both now and in the future.
Rather than just overpaying for goods and services, our government today buys materials and then pays contractors not to build anything with them. This is currently happening at our southern border in Texas, where the Biden Administration is refusing to build the border wall with materials already paid for during the Trump Administration.
