Some of the final US flights left Kabul on Monday despite the airport coming under fire from five ISIS rockets and as the threat of another terrorist attack grows stronger by the minute. Five rockets were launched at Hamid Karzai Airport on Monday morning from a sedan parked nearby. ISIS-K claimed responsibility for the attack on Monday morning, saying they used Katyusha rockets against the US troops still on the ground. No one is believed to have been killed in the attack. The US Army's C-RAM missile defense system could be heard firing shots at some of the rockets but it took out just one of the five rockets -

By carrying out this pell-mell withdrawal from Afghanistan, our leaders, after all, were only giving us what we wanted," columnist Max Boot wrote. What do Hunter Biden’s art and the Clinton Foundation have in common? (snip) The former is not selling priceless works of art, and the latter is not helping those in need. They are both selling influence. The art and the foundation are merely instruments to launder bribes. We know this to be true because the donations to the Clinton Foundation dried up when the Clintons no longer had influence to peddle. Likewise, I predict that Hunter’s art will suddenly become less valuable as soon as Joe leaves office.

California gubernatorial candidate Larry Elder explained on "Sunday Morning Futures" why he believes embattled Gov. Gavin Newsom "will be out of here" by September 14. Elder slammed the governor on Sunday for the surge in crime and homelessness in the state as well as the coronavirus shutdowns, which he argued led to a third of all California small businesses shutting down for good. Elder made the comments as ballots are being sent to voters for California’s gubernatorial recall election of Newsom. In some counties, ballot drop boxes are already open and some election offices are available for early voting, ahead of the Sept. 14 contest.

For the past several years, global terrorism was in retreat and had dropped off the list of Americans’ fears entirely. Now, after the debacle in Afghanistan, it’s suddenly front-page news again. Will a revival of terrorism be President Joe Biden’s legacy? Rewind the tape to 2015. ISIS – which emerged as a powerhouse after President Barack Obama’s decision to evacuate Iraq – was claiming huge swaths of land, to the surprise of Obama (who had dismissed ISIS as the “JV team”). And, not coincidentally, the number of terrorist attacks spiked.

When the Biden administration’s feckless management of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan produced all too predictable chaos, the legacy media uncharacteristically reported on the debacle with remarkable candor. This was unsettling to a White House inured to obsequious coverage, and various administration officials have expressed frustration concerning the Fourth Estate’s unfavorable approach to the story. Inevitably, certain “journalists” echoed the complaint. New York Magazine’s Eric Levitz, for example, querulously insisted, “America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan has yet to cost our nation a single casualty.” The day after this was published, 13 Americans were murdered by Islamic State terrorists. Gen. Mark A. Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs, must go. President Biden claims that the military advised him to close Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan and instead use Kabul’s airport to evacuate Americans. They were the ones who said the Afghan army would hold, that the pullout would go smoothly. If Biden is telling the truth, this disaster is on Milley’s watch. Or Biden is lying (the more likely scenario, based on what sources inside the administration are saying) and Milley failed to do his duty and push back against a commander in chief who is making deadly decisions.
