WASHINGTON — It’s called the loneliest job in the world for a reason. Surrounded by everything a superpower can offer and watched by all, President Joe Biden wore the weight of a lonely man as he came to grips in recent days with the deadly end of the American effort in Afghanistan and tried to keep the focus on what, to him, is the bottom line. (Snip) Biden found himself in a real-time crisis that overrides the platitudes he offered when running for the office and in the early months of his presidency. “America is back," he likes to say.

It is surely lonely when you cannot remember all the bad choices you make then blame other people. Cannot believe that I am going to quote obama who famously said 'never underestimate Joe's ability to F**k things up'.

I'm sure the families of the dead Marines, Navy corpsmen and Afghans are just overcome with sympathy for the poor, poor POTUS. That senile, demented old SOB wanted the job for years. Now, like the dog who chases the car, he doesn't have a clue what to do once he's caught it.

Is Calvin Woodward in a competition for the most sycophantic reporter at the White House? Trying to evoke sympathy for a corrupt and failed president? Shameful!

I think it's a given that Biden will not finish out this year, much less his entire term. What worries me, is knowing this, what will Dems push him to sign into laws on his way out. His 'nothing-left-to-lose' position is a dangerous place for the rest of the nation.

This dreadful, well documented, woke incompetent steals the presidency and it all turns to siit.
Proves DJT's point, doesn't it?
Of course, we all are swirling the drain this clod opened.

So what is Biden doing to prepare for Hurricane Ida? Why hasn't Biden been to Ca. to help with the fires? When will Biden be visiting the Southern border?

Biden wanted the job of President, now the buck does stop with him. Too bad he hid in his basement for a year, maybe he would have understood the duties.

I suppose this article is meant to conjure up compassion for Joe and Dr. Jill - how utterly clueless is the AP? He was foolish enough to think he’d be protected from shame by handlers that have no shame, and pushed by a ditzy blonde with her own empty ambitions.

When was a Ass Press ever this conciliatory to Trump? NEVER!
What a crock of crap article.
FTA: Cal Jillson, a presidential historian at Southern Methodist University, said there was no good way to leave Afghanistan.
Maybe not but there is a WRONG way to do it by pulling the military out fist before securing the exit of American and allies - and just as importantly getting the Blackhawks and other military equipment out.

I'll go ahead and say it: This is what you get when the spawn of a used car salesman from Scranton, Pa. runs to Delaware to avoid prosecution for misrepresentation and lies regarding the viabity and worthiness of a car. In earlier times, Joe would be known as the son of a crooked horse trader
He learned from Daddy how to cast a veil of lies and reap what he could from the naive marks.
