It was short, and it wasn’t sweet. The Democratic Party’s quest to defund police forces, an act in which it kowtowed to its hard-left-wing base, has come to a very bitter end. The resulting surge in violent crime has produced a massive public backlash that threatens the careers of elected Democrats throughout the nation. Naturally, the endangered species is trying to distance itself swiftly from the wreckage that “defund the police” has left behind. (Video) The mayors of Portland and Seattle, who respectively slashed police funding by $15 million and $7.5 million last year, are now moving to restore those budgets amid spikes in violent crime
Who in their right mind would want to be an officer in those cities?

Funding the police will do little to reverse court if:
You still have their hands tied.
Won't prosecute criminals
Release everyone arrested without bail.

These evil leftists said they would "rethink" policing - - and it looks like their re-thoughts led them right back to where sane people have always been - - namely - - that no civilized society can survive - - unless it controls the uncivilized among them.

Remember. It’s not about defund, refund, rerun, or home run the police.
It’s about power — grabbing and then hanging on for dear life.
These people would suddenly wear pink unicorns if it guaranteed their power.

The coming backlash of the police against the feral black community will be well deserved and they will actually be targeted and retaliated against, something they falsely claimed before. It's hardly racist to arrest mostly black criminals when mostly black criminals are doing all of the crimes. It's not a matter of racism it's a matter of evolution.

After trashing the police and slashing police funding the mayors of Portland and Seattle expect the police to come back like nothing happened. But, it did happen. The police know that any time in the future these mayors will throw them under the bus and side with the criminals again. This will have a detrimental impact on the police for many years to come.

And HOW to undo what was allowed in Dim cities? Hiring cops is a superficial response. Protecting those officers who risk their health and very lives for us - that's still only a start. Freeing the police to enforce the law and firm criminal justice would be helpful. But maybe criminalizing family abandonment could address the root problem - fatherless families.

What reforms can the police adopt that will stop black men from being thug predators in their communities?

Too late for Portland and Seattle. Antifa and BLM now controls major parts of downtown in both cities. They need to bring the National Guard and clean it out entirely. Just recently the Kings County Courthouse can't do it's job because potential jurors, prosecutors and lawyers say going there isn't safe. The mayor of these 2 cities shouldn't just be removed they should be jailed for deflection of the fiduciary duty.

The first thought that goes through one's mind is what one truly believes, now they have second thoughts that are obviously not what they truly believe.

If you are a conservative living behind enemy lines in a Democrap controlled city, get out now. Your situation is hopeless. Let them all kill each other, burn down their crap, and commit mayhem. Get as far away as possible.

The leftist and socialist Democrats must have “woke” up and looked at the polls from across the country that show that only radical Democrats including Antifa and the Black Lives Matter movement who are always in the bag for the Democrats, and that does not include the majority of Black populations in the big Democrat run cities, who still support defunding local police.

#2 nails it. This isn't about money. With current conditions that put officers in prison for enforcing the laws stay in place, there will be two bad effects.
First, existing officers won't do much to enforce the laws. They will mostly give lip service to enforcement, and mostly just let stuff slide.....because that is what they have effectively been told. They see that actually enforcing the law will get them in trouble, not the lawbreakers.
Second, it will be very difficult to get smart, sensible people to step up to become a police officer in these cities. They see what's going on. And if they ask a currently serving officer, they'll probably be warned to stay away.
