When President Joe Biden defended his decision to withdraw all U.S. troops from Afghanistan by a September 11 deadline, the president told reporters in July that it remained "highly unlikely" the Taliban would take control of the country. "The likelihood there's going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely," Biden said. "The Afghan government and leadership has to come together. They clearly have the capacity to sustain the government in place … there's not a conclusion that, in fact, they cannot defeat the Taliban."

Dementia Joe has a rich history of being 100% WRONG on every issue in his long political career. I read the headline to my wife of 47 years and she said Joe could not predict that the name of the day tomorrow would end in a “Y”.

That he was wrong is self evident. The real question is, did he know this (or was told) and was deliberately lying? Did the Kenyan Mulatto really think you could keep your doctor if you liked him?

Joe's predictions are whatever is politically expedient, or whatever pops into his increasingly empty head.

Conservatives need to realize one extremely important thing: When Biden and the other rabidly ideological leftists in this country say the ludicrous and fantastic things they say about everything from Afghanistan to COVID to gender to climate, they ARE NOT lying but ACTUALLY BELIEVE what they are saying. It would be much better if they were liars because liars can be defeated by the truth but no amount of fact, truth, logic and rationality can stop the MENTALLY ILL.

Any Army Private could have predicted what would happen when we abandoned Afghanistan and I have met some really dense Army Privates. Joe Biden and his Generals just cost a bunch of Afghan lives and allowed the Taliban to take millions of dollars of US Military equipment to speed up the murder and takeover of Afghanistan. Yes, we should not be there but we made promises and we got people killed.

Sounds to me like he's taking the advice of his high school level advisors. Young people trying handle a grown up world and it's problems. These problems have teeth and will bite your backside severely.

They couldn't do it with us and other allies fighting alongside them for 20 years. The idiot then says that there's no reason they can't do it on their own. And the media runs with another brilliant utterance from the Lost-Soul-in-Chief.

As Robert Gates said, Biden has "been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades."
Should have left out "nearly"

Joe "Dementia" Biden
July 08, 2021
"Biden was peppered with questions Thursday on the withdrawal following the address and insisted that it was not inevitable that Afghanistan fall to the Taliban, saying that the Afghan army is as “well equipped as any army in the world” to fend off the Taliban.
“The likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely,” Biden said."
No date, Sad.......Very Sad
"For some people living with dementia, their brain misinterprets the information from their senses. This can lead to them holding false beliefs and delusions about the world around them. These false beliefs or 'different realities' can be very distressing for the person with dementia – and the people caring for them."

He wanted to "Cut and Run" in 2006 from the war he voted for just a year before..he wanted to Cut and run in 2008 when he was running in the dem primary...his plan then was to split Iraq in 3, Iran got 1/3, Syria 1/3, Saudi/sunni independent Irag the last 3rd. Bush's "surge" left a stable Iraq instead....then as VP his plan in Iraq was to cut and run, thus handing it over to ISIS. He bashed both Bush and Trump for their Iraq strategies(both ultimately successful), saying we had no business there at all...that Afghanistan was the "Good War", the right war...it was actually stable and deaths verrrry scarce as he ran against Trump, has collapsed since as people (rightly) surmised he would fold...cut and run.He and the Dems have a loooong history of following administrations into office that had just WON a war, and then losing the Peace. They cut the legs out from under the Cubans, The Viets, The Shah, Panama, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Syrians, now the Afgahns...They have stabbed Israel in the back soooo many times it's a standing procedure to arm up and get ready the moment a Dem enters the Whitehouse, because EVERY enemy knows they are weapons free to attack at will, US will do nothing except bash Israel for any defense or retaliation.

"General, after two decades of training, equipment and support by US forces, is the Afghan Security Force able to defend the country against the Taliban?"
Now, what do you expect the answer to be? No? What would you have told the President? Um, well, we've done our best...? Petraus was probably right - it was more effective to buy the Taliban off than depend on the "freedom loving" Afghans to defend their opportunity. Another civil war we lose.
