Embarrassed Education Department officials want to give a destroyed Brooklyn elementary school mural on diversity a second life. The colorful cafeteria artwork, which school administrators had removed from the cafeteria wall of P.S. 295 in Park Slope in July after objecting to messages like “Black Trans Lives Matter” and a quote from feminist author Audre Lorde, will be recreated in full, District 15 superintendent Anita Skop told parents Friday.
