Undercover detectives in central Florida arrested 17 people—among whom were three employees of Walt Disney World—over charges related to the targeting of children online for unlawful sexual activity, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday.
The six-day long undercover operation dubbed “Operation Child Protector” took place July 27 through Aug. 1, during which law enforcement officers posed as children on social media platforms, mobile apps, and online dating sites, to investigate potential predators who prey upon children for unlawful sexual activity.
A total of 17 people were arrested, representing 49 felony and two misdemeanor charges altogether.

The World Health Organization called on Wednesday for a moratorium on coronavirus vaccine booster shots until the end of September to help all countries vaccinate at least 10 percent of their populations, appealing to the world’s wealthiest nations to address dramatic disparities in global vaccination rates.
“I understand the concern of all governments to protect their people from the Delta variant,” Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, director general of the W.H.O., said in a briefing. “But we cannot — and we should not — accept countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it, while the world’s most vulnerable people remain unprotected.”

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has authorized a monoclonal antibody cocktail as a measure to prevent infection in some groups of people who were exposed to the CCP virus, the pathogen that causes COVID-19.
The FDA on Friday announced that it had revised its emergency use authorization (EUA) for REGEN-COV, a treatment consisting of jointly administered casirivimab and imdevimab, expanding its use beyond just the treatment of patients who test positive for the virus.
While the product remains authorized for treating confirmed COVID-19 patients over age 12 who are at high risk of severe illness, the agency said the drug combo can now be given to high-risk groups as a measure

Perverted, creepy, sick, narcissistic, ego-maniacal New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is laughing hysterically right now as the dual-justice system of New York politics is on full display. Infuriating does not scratch the surface.New York State Attorney General Letitia James specifically said at the beginning of her remarks releasing the investigative findings of a 5 month investigation: “The independent investigation has concluded, and Governor Andrew Cuomo sexually harassed multiple women and in doing so violated federal and state law.”
Moments later one of the investigators, the former federal prosecutor from Manhattan, Joon Kim, said: “We find that the governor, on numerous occasions, engaged in conduct that constitutes unlawful sex based harassment,”

The American Medical Association (AMA), the largest organization of physicians and medical students in the United States, came under fire over the weekend for a recent proposal calling to end the designation of sex on birth certificates.
The proposal (pdf), which was adopted by the AMA’s Board of Trustees in June, states that recording the baby’s sex on the public portion of birth certificates, as has always been the case, has “potential for discrimination.”
“Our American Medical Association will advocate for the removal of sex as a legal designation on the public portion of the birth certificate,”
