It’s already old news that an obnoxious leftist verbally assaulted Tucker Carlson, who was in a fly fishing shop in Montana. (snip) Now, though, some interesting information is emerging about the leftist yahoo, a guy named Dan Bailey, thanks to his having outed himself on his Instagram account. It turns out that Dan Bailey worked for an organization that was closely associated with the CIA. (snip) Things start getting interesting when you look at Bailey’s personal information.

In 2008, before he was president, Obama told his followers that, if they were in the company of independents or Republicans, “I want you to argue with them and get in their face.” A decade later, Rep. Maxine Waters (D. Stupidity), in defense of keeping an open border, exhorted her supporters that, if they saw someone from the Trump administration, “you get out and you create a crowd, and you push back on them, and you tell them they’re not welcome anymore, anywhere.” This is what leftists do – and it’s what some guy in a bait shop did when he caught sight of Tucker Carlson.

Alone among the advanced countries of the world, Sweden followed the sensible policy for dealing with a highly transmissible virus with a 99%+ survival rate, dangerous mostly to easily identifiable groups – the elderly and those with co-morbidities. It allowed the population at minimal risk to carry on life as usual, and restricted movements and otherwise protected only those at elevated risk. (snip) And now we see that Sweden’s approach (which, incidentally, is how all previous pandemics have been handled) has been vindicated. (snip) Data show the 7-day rolling average for COVID deaths yesterday was zero

Mark Twain is believed to have uttered this profundity about history, “History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” Are we catching a glimpse of COVID history beginning to rhyme with itself?
Today’s story is, “Veterinarian dies in China from rare monkey virus.” Substitute “ophthalmologist” for “veterinarian” and “bat” for “monkey” and see if you can hear the rhyme from early 2020.
A year and a half ago, in February 2020, shortly after President Trump banned travel to the US from China, we learned of this story: “Li Wenliang: Coronavirus kills Chinese whistleblower doctor.”

Are all those media items featuring Joe Biden eating ice cream not a diversion from the serious issues of the day but rather a coded warning?
Consider this explanation from the Alzheimer’s Association Caregiver Tips & Tools:
"Ice cream. It takes all of your worries away. (snip) And dementia (here is the best part!) allows one to fully enjoy the treat, with no concerns for calories, weight gain or dietary needs, completely guilt free! For people with dementia, ice cream is far more effective and safe than Prozac, or any other “happy” drug on the market!"

I admit I was worried last January. It really seemed as if the Left had taken it all and that nothing stood between them and their goals. The Supreme Court, Electoral College, HR-1, criminalization of firearms, rollback of immigration reforms, and all that just to start.
(snip) The Terror was about to begin. Prepare for the American Gulag.
But all the time, something kept telling me: they’re leftists -- they will screw it up.
What a difference six months makes. The race has not gone to the swift, nor the battle to the strong.
At this point, the American Left is in complete disarray.

Over two dozen people were killed during the Antifa and BLM protests in 2020. (snip) The New York Times has reported there have been twenty terrorist plots against the U.S. Three of those plots were real; the other 17 were created — and then stopped — by the FBI. (snip) The DC Metropolitan Police also had at least one undercover employee embedded within the pro-Trump crowd. This is not speculation. It is based on court records. It is preposterous to contend that the FBI did not have operatives in this disturbance

We’ve all seen this before, as has every leader of every country in the world. A sitting President of the United States cannot put together a coherent answer to a simple question. (snip) Asked an unchallenging question of 12-year-olds and vaccination, he drifted off in the middle of a sentence, and, as he so often does, looked down, got that Deliverance banjo player look on his face, and appeared to be listening to something in his earpiece, and then strung together a sequence of words that were not grammatically related to the rest of the sentence, but which, on their own, were coherent.

Boris Johnson has been ordered to self-isolate… again. The isolation order, however, was not issued because Johnson contracted the virus. Rather he has been sent packing to his country house, because he came into proximity of an individual who tested positive for Covid.
You may well wonder why the British Prime Minister has been so unceremoniously put away given that he should be safe from the virus. If you did not know, in addition to having overcome the infection, Boris has received his two jabs earlier this year and upon accomplishing the feat urged everyone else to do likewise.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is neither naïve nor stupid. So why did he invite United Nations officials to investigate systemic racism in the United States? It cannot be for the sophomoric reason he stated:
“Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record; rather, they should acknowledge it with the intent to improve.” (snip) We could write the report right now, without even knowing that the UN Human Rights chief, Michelle Bachelet, has already endorsed reparations on July 12 after issuing a UN report on systemic racism in late June which called for wide range of reparation measures.

It happened that, as I was thinking about writing about my husband and me being canceled by our own children six months ago — we have been agonizing about not being able to talk to them or see our grandson for all that time — a thought popped into my mind: blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.
Weeks ago, while struggling with how to understand what has happened, I picked up a copy of Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals. Then I looked at a book by David Horowitz entitled Barack Obama's Rules for Revolution: The Alinsky Model.

How can you tell we're slipping under the yoke of totalitarianism? (snip) We are now living in a land where the government uses corporate monopolies to restrict political speech it dislikes, abuses the criminal justice system to protect Antifa criminals doing its bidding on the streets, holds political prisoners in solitary confinement for over six months under spurious charges, spies on citizens' private text messages in the name of safety, and designates its political adversaries as "domestic extremists" and "terrorists."
