One executive sees no end in sight for gas above $3.00 per gallon.
Patrick de Hann — the Head of Petroleum Analysis for GasBuddy — said on FOX Business’ “Cavuto: Coast to Coast” that gas prices may remain high through the summer.
“Traditionally we see gas prices start declining in mid-to-late August as we start to see things [going] back to normal, kids going back to school, vacations basically ending,” de Hann remarked. “This year, though, I think the concern is that…the normal seasonal down-turning could be mitigated by the fact that offices are starting to see returns by fall and so commutes could start to increase.”

While the U.S. media frequently look the other way at President Joe Biden’s verbal and intellectual foibles, foreign media have questioned the president’s mental acuity. Australian reporters have lamented that “the leader of the free world” is “struggling,” “barely cogent,” and a “human corpse” who has sunken deep into “cognitive decline.”
Those quotations come from Sky News Australia, the center-right cable news network launched in 1996 by NewsCorp Australia. Its collection of hosts and journalists have told their growing audience what many in the U.S. media have refused to say: Joe Biden’s declining intellectual capabilities threaten all Western democracies.

When I appeared on a Heritage Foundation panel discussion in 2019, I said people are manufacturing trans gender kids. They are hurting the most vulnerable members of our society by encouraging children and adolescents to live as the opposite sex, inject hormone blockers and cross-gender hormones, and undergo surgeries that irrevocably alter healthy body parts.
These protocols are dangerous and unstudied, and shouldn’t be pushed on children. Yet this madness rages on like an unchecked forest fire.
I was a transgender child who “transitioned” to female as an adult. I lived as female for eight years, until I woke up and admitted it wasn’t working.

A 13-year-old Michigan boy died in his sleep three days after receiving the coronavirus vaccine in June and the Centers for Disease Control has opened an investigation into the death, a report said on Sunday.
Jacob Clynick — who was preparing to enter high school in the fall — received his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine at a Walgreens in Zilwaukee, Mich. on June 13, his aunt told the Detroit Free Press.
Jacob was healthy and had no underlying health conditions. In the two days following the second jab, the only side effects he had experienced were the same ones most others had to deal with: fatigue and fever.

Eleven days after the Surfside building collapse, the remaining part of the building has been demolished over concerns the damaged structure was at risk of falling, endangering the crews below and preventing them from operating in some areas.
The Champlain Towers South building went down at 10:30 p.m. A number of explosions could be heard and then the building started to fall, sending up massive plumes of dust into the air in the surrounding neighborhoods.
The demolition was confined to the immediate area, and used gravity to bring the structure down in its place.

A North Miami Beach building Recertification Audit has resulted in the immediate closure of The Crestview Towers Condominium and the evacuation of its residents.
“What they’re saying is safety first, since they know about it today or this afternoon, they had to shut down everything,” said Harold Dauphin one of the more than 100 residents who live in Crestview Towers Condo. And, by shut down everything, Dauphin is referring to the evacuation order being issued for his 10 story, 156-unit, condo building on the 2000 block of NE 164th Street in North Miami Beach.

Actress and singer Vanessa Williams will be singing the song “Lift Every Voice and Sing,” more commonly known as the Black National Anthem, as she hosts PBS’ 41st annual “A Capitol Fourth” celebration.
Williams said that she is singing the song as a way to promote “Juneteenth” on the Fourth of July.
“It’s in celebration of the wonderful opportunity that we now have to celebrate Juneteenth. So we are reflective of the times,” she told the Associated Press.
Juneteenth was made a federal holiday this year and already took place on June 19.

A bombshell report released just last fall revealed extensive concrete deterioration and corrosion of steel reinforcements had been found at the now collapsed Champlain Towers South.
The damage had grown so bad that repair work was put on hold over fears that even performing it could endanger the stability of surrounding buildings.
That ominous assessment was carried out in October 2020 by the firm Concrete Protection and Restoration and Morabito Consultants.
It was led by structural engineer Frank Morabito, who both found several issues including a potentially deep deterioration of concrete near the pool area

Troubling photographs taken by a contractor in the basement garage of the Champlain Towers South condo 36 hours before it collapsed reveal cracked concrete, exposed and severely corroded rebar and pools of water on the floor.
“There was standing water all over the parking garage,” the commercial pool contractor, who snapped the startling images, told the Miami Herald.
The contractor, who asked not to be named, visited the building last week to prepare a bid for cosmetic work on the pool and to provide the cost of new equipment as part of a multimillion-dollar restoration project at the 40-year-old structure, the outlet reported.

The White House social media team set off some fireworks it didn’t want Thursday when it attempted to counter inflation fears by claiming Americans will enjoy cheaper Independence Day parties this year.
“Planning a cookout this year?” the groan-worthy tweet began. “Ketchup on the news. According to the Farm Bureau, the cost of a 4th of July BBQ is down from last year. It’s a fact you must-hear(d). Hot dog, the Biden economic plan is working. And that’s something we can all relish.”
The tweet was accompanied by a GIF laying out the price change for select food items.

“The Star-Spangled Banner” is notoriously difficult to sing, but when it’s done right, chills.
Check out Whitney Houston at the 1991 Super Bowl or (my favorite) Marvin Gaye at the 1983 NBA All-Star Game. “I’ve never been part of an anthem where everybody’s just in unison and lost control and just started moving. It was a beautiful moment,” the superstar hoops player Isiah Thomas recalled later. We have the song to thank for the dear position held in our collective consciousness by the words “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
As with just about everything else in America, though — statues! old movies! math! —

A human rights activist who escaped oppression in North Korea called US Olympian Gwen Berry “spoiled” for turning her back on the American flag — saying she doesn’t know how good she has it.
Yeonmi Park, who defected from the hermit kingdom in 2007, told “Fox & Friends” Thursday that Berry’s decision to snub the Stars and Stripes as the national anthem played is “unthinkable.”
“In North Korea, people who are actually oppressed don’t even know they’re oppressed,” Park told the outlet.
“The fact that she’s complaining about oppression and systemic racism — she does not understand that she’s so privileged.”
