Nine people have been confirmed dead in the aftermath of the collapse of a condominium complex in South Florida three days ago, Miami-Dade Mayor Danielle Levine Cava announced Sunday. During a Sunday morning news conference in Seaside, Levine Cava said four additional bodies had been recovered from the rubble and one person had died at a hospital after four bodies had previously been recovered from the scene. The remains of four had been identified early Sunday, according to Miami Dade Fire Rescue, and Levine Cava said they have notified next of kin.

A new Jan. 6 video has surfaced from Bobby Powell, who hosts the “The Truth Is Viral” podcast, that appears to show black-clad rioters breaking out windows and defacing the Capitol after DC police were ordered to leave.
During an interview with OANN, Powell suggested that the two men in black who busted out windows and reportedly attempted to push protesters inside may have been FBI informants.
He witnessed the incident as he was on the east side of the building on Jan. 6 and commented on what he saw that day.
“Two men I saw attacking the building, breaking windows, and even pushing people inside have not been arrested.
“Something told me, you need to run.”
If Iliana Monteagudo had waited another minute to listen to the voice in her head, she might not be alive.
“Two more minutes, no, no. Not even one. There was no more time,” said Monteagudo, who lived on the sixth floor of Champaign Towers South Condo that partially collapsed early Thursday morning, killing at least four and leaving 159 unaccounted for.
“When I was running down the stairs I went from six, to five and then four, I heard a tremendous noise. It was infernal,” she said. “The building was falling.”

On the fifth day of a search and rescue operation at the site of the Champlain Towers South collapse in Surfside, rescue workers stressed that they could still find survivors in the rubble.
The death toll rose by just four people Sunday, to a total of nine confirmed dead. But more than 150 people are still missing. Their families rode buses to a site close enough to watch the intense rescue effort, including firefighters, sniffer dogs and search experts employing radar and sonar devices.

“There are people that have concerns about staying in that building given what’s happened. I can’t say I would be excited about staying in that building either,” said Surfside Mayor Gary Burkett.
