Army investigators detained a fellow soldier in the killing of Specialist Vanessa Guillén just hours after her remains were found, but a series of missteps allowed the soldier to flee, then fatally shoot himself, according to an Army report released Friday that examined what went wrong in the high-profile murder investigation.
The revelation is part of a detailed report into the response to the murder, which has rocked the Army and sparked calls for increased accountability. Among the findings are conclusions that Specialist Guillen was sexually harassed, but not by the soldier who the Army believes killed her, and that the suspected killer had also been accused of unrelated sexual harassment.

Last night's Drudge Report was dominated by Joe Biden, as Drudge continues to look at the world through his Bush Republican eyes.
Drudge pimped a Reuters report -- "After somber tone in first 100 days, Biden plans to try to sell spending to U.S. public" -- under the all-caps headline: "BIDEN SET TO PITCH TRILLIONS.”(Snip) The message was clear.
Biden speaking was the most important event since the miraculous election of a man who never held a rally of humans, never gave a press conference, and never went a week without calling it a day (Snip)
Drudge is a relic of a Bush Republicanism that promotes globalism and the wars that

To promote today's opening of the NFL draft, the NFL and ESPN are pushing the inspiring story of Kwity Paye's harrowing escape from Africa. He is a defensive lineman for Michigan, or as Ohioans call it, That Team Up North.
ESPN wrote, "Kwity Paye has never met the man. Never had the chance to look him in the eye, or hear his story in his own words, or even so much as thank him. For his life. For the chance to be in the United States, where Kwity became an immigrant, then a citizen; a football player, then a really good football player; (Snip)
The man is his mom's cousin Cyrus.

Joe Biden’s jumbled word salad remarks to a joint session of congress, an effort at a State of the Union speech, drew an audience rating less than one-third of President Trump’s speech in 2020. TV Ratings for Presidential Addresses:
President Trump 2017 – 48,000,000
President Trump 2018 – 46,000,000
President Trump 2019 – 46,800,000
President Trump 2020 – 37,200,000
♦ Joe Biden 2021 – 11,600,000
That’s over a 60% decrease in viewership. (Snip) There was no crowd at his installation. .(Snip) An empty chamber for his speech,… and yet we are to believe he received 81 million votes.

The Supreme Court rejected the federal government’s effort to move forward with the deportation of a failed refugee claimant who argued he shouldn’t be removed from the United States because official paperwork was incomplete.
The Trump administration, in office when the case was argued Nov. 9, 2020, favored deportation in this instance. (Snip)Justice Neil Gorsuch delivered the court’s opinion, in which conservative Justices Clarence Thomas and Amy Coney Barrett, joined, along with liberal Justices Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan. Conservative Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote a dissenting opinion that was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito.

Although he made up his mind before jury did, President Joe Biden quickly went public once he learned that the Minneapolis jury had, in fact, convicted former police officer Derek Chauvin on all charges.
“It was a murder in the full light of day, and it ripped the blinders off for the whole world to see the systemic racism the vice president just referred to — the systemic racism that is a stain on our nation’s soul.” So said the only president to have given a eulogy at the funeral of an Exalted Klan Cyclops, and that just 10 years before Floyd’s death.

I hate to write this, but there is just no good way to look at this. The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, specifically Presiding Judge James Boasberg, has hired former DOJ National Security Division head, Mary McCord, as amici curiae advisor to the court. [LINK] (Snip)
Presiding Judge James Boasberg, is the decision-maker in the appointment of Amici Curiae to the FISA court. There is no way, NO WAY, Judge Boasberg does not know Mary McCord was at the epicenter of the fraudulent FISA application used against Carter Page. Remember, in addition to being the FISC Presiding Judge, Boasberg was also the trial judge in the case against Kevin Clinesmith, the FBI

During an appearance on Canadian radio show Monday, a Barnard College English instructor discussed with a Jewish host a passage from his new book about how he would gas white people in a locked room “when the race war hits its crescendo.”
(Snip) When this race war hits its crescendo, I’ll gather you all into a beautifully decorated room under the pretense of unity. I’ll give a speech to civility and all the good times we share; I’ll smile as we raise glasses to your good, white health, while the detonator blinks under the table, knowing the exits are locked and the air vents filled with gas.

The Biden administration and a Pennsylvania school district urged a skeptical Supreme Court this morning to let school districts suppress free speech by students on social media if they deem it potentially disruptive to school operations.
The case, Mahanoy Area School District v. B.L., court file 20-255, was heard April 28.
(Snip) B.L., or Brandi Levy, was a minor at the time the lawsuit was initiated and legal files reduced her name to initials to protect her identity.
In 2017, when Levy was 14 and a freshman, she made the Mahanoy Area High School junior varsity cheerleading team, but as a sophomore she failed to advance to the varsity squad, remaining junior varsity,

CNN’s sour grapes are fermenting into a pathetic, albeit amusing, daily display. Watching the channel smugly attempt to punch up at Fox News almost evokes the same empathy you feel when watching a toddler try to grab cookies off a too-tall counter. They just don’t have what it takes,(Snip)
Enter Brianna Keilar, the newly minted “anchor” of “New Day,” the network’s morning program. One of her first monologues on the program sought to analyze Fox News’s chyrons for allegedly revealing that “Fox is not news, no matter what it calls itself.” The irony is entirely lost on Keilar, who is simply not an “anchor,” no matter what she calls herself.

Swing voters in New Jersey and Virginia are fed up with Democrats pushing cancel culture, a new poll from the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) suggests.
The survey of 656 “high propensity persuadable voters” located in two districts in New Jersey and Virginia found that after RSLC digital advertisements targeted Democrats for promoting cancel culture, citizens were more likely to vote for Republican candidates.
“The key message of the ad was simple: the cancel culture tactics that drove Major League Baseball to move its annual All-Star Game out of Atlanta will cost Georgia $100 million, hurt the very communities Democrats claim to be fighting for, and could eventually be waged against New

The FBI continued abusing the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act program, including searching for information on people who had gone to the bureau to report they were victims of a crime, a newly declassified document shows.
One FBI information specialist between April 11, 2019, and July 8, 2019, conducted approximately 124 queries of information obtained through secretive methods under the act, or FISA, which permits warrantless surveillance of foreigners outside of the United States.
(Snip)
The searches included looking at information for people who had requested to participate in a bureau-run citizens academy, a program for local leaders designed to foster greater understanding of the role of law enforcement, and people who needed
