A Minnesota jury has found former police officer Derek Chauvin guilty of second-degree murder, third-degree murder, and second-degree manslaughter. This means they claim to have concluded that they unanimously believe beyond a reasonable doubt that Chauvin caused Floyd’s death.
Given the circumstances of the trial, however, it’s extremely hard to believe the jury was solely concerned with either truth or justice. It’s extremely hard, if not impossible, for any thinking person not to have a reasonable doubt about the outcome.
We know the judge in the case refused to sequester jurors from media coverage and outside influences during the trial, and that the pressure conveyed to them was beyond intense.

Not a jury but a political lynch mob. Guilty of everything. Especially of being a white policeman. The mob would crucify him upside down first then chain drag his body through the streets behind a Prius.

As it is the Supreme Court's cowardly turning its back on brazen vote fraud has shaken the American people's confidence in their judicial system. If this foul inequity is not reversed that confidence will be lost for a generation or more.

there is no way that the Americans, real Americans, will trust anything that is issued by the Court system anymore. Judges will probably need to watch their collective backs and I hope that they never EVER have a decent night's sleep for all of the pain they have brought down on this country so that their miserable souls can be comfortable and go to cocktail parties. Burning at the stake should be brought back

FTA - "They deliberately perverted justice in favor of violent mob rule to strengthen their political hand. They have done evil and called it justice. They have sown the wind, and the resulting whirlwind has still not fully hit our nation yet. But it will."
Soon, one of the jurors will speak and express the enormous fear that existed among the entire jury panel and the judge himself. When this happens, get under your desk. Thanks to Obie, W, biden the cheater, Auntie Maxine, Nanie, and the msm, there is plenty of evidence to prove jury tampering and intimidation. The Appellate judge will declare a mistrial. Chauvin will then be a free man. But, he will need to change his identity, his face, and move somewhere. He may elect to file suit against those who libeled him in which case he could eventually become a very wealthy individual. But, if I were him, I would go away and live a very quiet life in the woods.

Nine cowards in Minneapolis, nine cowards at the OJ Simpson trial. What might the difference be, other than the fact that OJ was guilty as hell? If Chauvin could have seen the future he would have called in sick that day.

#5, where does your number "nine" come from? AFAIK, all American juries have always been 12 people, and often there are two or three 'backup' jurors who are there observing but who will not vote unless one of the 12 has to leave for some reason, legal or medical.

Jury's verdict was obviously tainted. Judge should sentence Chauvin to time served.

The judge needs to be fired. Jury should have been sequestered and there should have been a change of venue, minimum.

Interesting that they are so intent on keeping the names of the jurors private.
Do you think that would have been the case if they didn't find him guilty?
They knew they'd be hunted down by the media and the mobs. Lose their privacy, likely lose their jobs and anything they worked their whole lives for.
And, since all 4 did what looked to be how they were trained, how do you think the other 3 will be adjudicated?

True but as a scapegoat Chauvin is sure doing a great job. Too bad it won't last.

I don't think the murder verdicts can stand. The evidence doesn't support felony murder (the second degree murder charge) or third degree, with is meant for something like shooting randomly and killing someone in the process. At most, this is manslaughter. With time, maybe a court will be brave enough to do justice here.

We know all about bogus trials, witness O.J. Simpson allowed to murder two people. Derek Chauvin was the victim of a kangaroo court. The Supreme Court of the United States has been intimidated by the fear of Antifa and BLM types showing up on justice's front porches and threatening their families. They want to ingratiate themselves with the MSM. Therefore, allow the election of Biden and do not look at contrary and damning evidence to the contrary. Jesse Unruh, California politician, once remarked about Sacramento that "...if you can't drink their booze and scr''w their women but still tell then "no" in the morning, you don't belong up here." Supreme Court justices and Washington politicians (with rare exceptions) fail Unruh's test.

Let’s see if the Appeals Court Justices who will undoubtedly hear the case on appeal have also been intimidated?

This Minnesota justice system has me baffled.
Can anyone explain to me how one can be convicted of killing someone 3 different ways at the same time?
Does the judge choose the appropriate charge, or do the sentences run concurrently or consecutively?
WTH?

Big whoop. We also didn't trust the OJ verdict, but what difference did it make?!?!?!?
Officer Chauvin was railroaded. When the trial wasn't moved to another city, and the jurors were not sequestered, there was never a chance he was going to get a fair trial or be exonerated. He lost everything by doing his job by the book. If I were a cop, and I wasn't a few weeks away from retirement, I would have quit the second that verdict was read!!!
Cops now have a big target painted on their backs. Racist black thug criminals now know they can get away with everything (including murder). There is no "upside" to being a cop in this country any more!!!

I have doubts about your opinion #15. We have seen our legal system in shambles for some time now and it only seems to be getting worse. I hope I am wrong and there is still hope for our country.
