Columbus Police Department officials released an officer’s bodycam video showing the seconds leading up to the shooing of a 16-year-old girl. The chaotic video shows a fight in progress.
The Columbus Division of Police released a bodycam video showing Tuesday’s shooting of a young black girl who appeared to be armed with a knife. The video appears to show the girl fighting with another girl as the officer opens fire. The knife can be seen in the girl’s hand as she appears to attempt to stab the girl in pink.

Oh Goodie: another "Gentle Giant" (this one a 15-16 year old girl) shot by police, just in time for them to have another riot, despite getting what they wanted against Chauvin.
**Paula Bryant tells me her 16 year-old daughter Ma’Khia Bryant was an honor roll student and a sweet child. Ma’Khia was shot and killed by a @ColumbusPolice on Legion Lane at 4:30p today. **

I am surprised the cop did his job. He would have a lot less grief, if he had not.

Vicious female armed with a good sized knife, definitely easy to kill someone with it. The person (girl?) in the pink outfit was about to be murdered, seconds from death when the officer fired. Pretty chaotic, but two human eyes are wider perception and a person there can see a lot more than shows on these cameras.
And of course, you knew it wasn't likely to be a white girl trying to murder someone.

First, it should be recognized that the officer who acted to save the life of a non-aggressive third-party acted in a very brave, selfless manner. Very few Americans, especially in today's anti-police racial climate, would have put their careers and their freedom on the line by doing the right thing here. It was so obvious from the time the officer arrived that there was going to be racial political/legal trouble regardless of his actions. He had to be especially aware that using deadly force against a young black female on the very day the whole country has been focused on the Chauvin verdict would be certain to bring worst-case trouble down on himself if he took the only action available to him to protect the non-aggressive third party, yet he did in spite of the ordeal sure to follow.
The police would be wise to thoroughly investigate the foster home from where the 911 call was made and those who run it, as well as other children who lived with the deceased under foster care in the home.

More black on black crime stopped by a policeman. If we were truly a racist society, only black policemen would be sent into black neighborhoods. They don’t do that, so we’re not racist.
Wait for the press to paint this girl and others in her circle as pure as the driven snow. Something precipitated this rage. Find out what!

#7, in the black subculture, it takes just a minor incident to bring on violence.

Shows how quickly the police must make a decision. Another street animal and potential riot-trigger bites the dust. Police would now be justified in letting the other girl get stabbed and then filling out the paperwork. It's safer for their well-being and career.
Idiot commenter recommends pepper spray. If it was you facing the knife you would opt for a .45.

How would Paula know...her daughter was living in a foster home. Paula's looking for a payout.

It's only a matter of time before police turn into blue flowerpots and let these things happen instead of responding quickly. Bryant allegedly called the police in this fight among fostered girls, but made the fatal mistake of running after the girls, in full view of police, with the knife. Note the neighborhood is a nice suburban one, but BLM and the mother (not the foster mother) will be looking to fan flames and hang the Columbus PD with the usual demonstrations and riots.

I’ve been posting here for years the question, “What is it with black women?” Guess I’ll have to change that to, “What is it with black females?”
