The National Fraternal Order of Police condemned LeBron James for using his influence to call for an attack on the police officer who shot and killed a teenage girl wielding a knife to save the life of another black girl.
“@KingJames, with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless,”(Snip) “The officer saved a young girl’s life. No amount of gaslighting will change that fact.” (Snip) the famous NBA player posted a picture of the alleged Columbus officer involved in the fatal shooting captioned with the words “YOU’RE NEXT”

Body camera footage from other officers released Wednesday in the fatal police shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant, a Black teenager who charged at two people with a knife, showed a chaotic scene that happened within minutes of the verdict in George Floyd’s killing and ignited outrage by many over the continued use of lethal force by police in Columbus and the U.S.(Snip)Bryant was 16 and in foster care with Franklin County Children’s Services at the time of her death. Her grandmother, Debra Wilcox, described her as a shy and quiet girl, who liked making hair and dance videos on TikTok.

Interim Columbus police Chief Michael Woods issued a final statement at a Wednesday press conference about the shooting death of a 16-year-old girl by an officer. (Snip)Donavon Brinson, who lives across the street from the foster home, saw some girls come out of that house and then he heard commotion.(Snip)He immediately thought about his security camera on his garage. He watched the footage. He saw the fight, saw the glint of the knife.
(Snip) it all happened so fast that he didn't see how the officer could have time to have done anything else.

Last Saturday, the Biden administration abruptly closed a temporary facility housing nearly 500 unaccompanied illegal immigrant girls in Houston, Texas, a move allegedly due to the “unbearable” conditions of the facility. (Snip)Immigrant advocates had raised concern about the shelter’s conditions and questioned that NACC has no prior experience dealing with unaccompanied children. (Snip)Jose Ortega, founder and president of NACC, claimed to the Houston Chronicle that HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra personally “begged” him to take the migrant children and sign the $4 million contract.
“I’m a pastor. We were not looking for a contract. We were not applying for a contract for us to make money—this was thrown on us,” Ortega said.

Below is my column in the Hill on two issues that arose on the final day of the trial of Derek Chauvin that could now feature prominently in any appeal. There will likely be an array of conventional appellate issues from the elements of the murder counts(Snip) However, two issues were highlighted on the final day which could play a role in the appeal.
The first on the denial of a venue change and the sequestering of the jury is very difficult make work on appeal. However, there are strong arguments to be made in this case. I believe Judge Cahill should have granted the venue change and

Police officers were called to the 3100 block of Legion Lane, north of Chatterton Road, in Columbus, Ohio, just after 4:30 pm for a disturbance call. When police arrived 16-year-old Ma’Khia Bryant (black female) was in the process of attempting to stab one woman with a knife and then attempting to stab a second woman (see screengrab below). One officer opened fire, Ma’khia Bryant was shot and killed.

PITTSBURGH — They’re still there, planted in front of stately homes in wealthy suburban neighborhoods, on flagpoles in middle-class communities, and along the front stoops of inner-city row houses.
Whether they say “Trump 2020” or simply “Trump,” there are plenty of people who have left their sentiments planted on their own personal hill.
It is not just here in Pennsylvania. The signs are not hard to spot as you travel to the Great Lakes, the Midwest, and Appalachia.
The reason is complex. People who come from a variety of socioeconomic, religious, and political experiences formed a conservative populist coalition long before Donald Trump descended Trump Tower’s escalator in June 2015

JoeBama injected the advance racial narrative today giving support and cover for rioters in Minnesota if the outcome of the verdict in the Chauvin trial is not the “right” one according to his own views. Biden stated during media remarks: “I’m praying the verdict is the right verdict, which I think is overwhelming in my view.”To be clear, the intent of these remarks is to give cover to those who will take to the streets and riot if the jury does not “reach the right verdict”…
This is sociopathic level political manipulation by the Obama Chicago crew;

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) was clearly trying to influence the jury in the Derek Chauvin trial when she traveled to Minnesota and said Chauvin should be found guilty, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz charged on Tuesday.
“Her message was clearly intended to get to the jury—‘If you will acquit or if you find the charge less than murder, we will burn down your buildings. We will burn down your businesses. We will attack you. We will do what happened to the witness—blood on their door,’” he said during an appearance on Newsmax, referring to how the former home of defense expert Barry Brodd was recently vandalized.

President Joe Biden ignored Judge Peter Cahill’s request that politicians not publicly discuss the trial of former Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin when he announced Tuesday that he had spoken with the family of George Floyd and that he is “praying the verdict is the right verdict.”
“It’s overwhelming, in my view,” Biden said on Tuesday. “I wouldn’t say that unless the jury was sequestered.”
While the Democrat president said he wasn’t originally planning on making knowledge of his conversation public, he said the meeting was mostly “personal.”

What a difference a couple of weeks can make to a simpering corporate clown with a penchant for rodomontade.
Just this month, Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey decided that he, a British subject, would unilaterally take a stand in the name of the iconic American company he runs and inveigh headlong against Georgia’s newly passed voter integrity law.
Quincey is an engineer and a marketing guy. A guest in this country. When did he suddenly acquire such enormous political acumen on American domestic politics?
Save for his green card and his King’s English, Quincey is not that far removed from those tattooed MS-13 punks who slip across the southern border to exploit

Well, this is a bummer for the sedition-baiting crowd.
The Biden Justice Department last week announced its first plea deal related to the January 6 protest on Capitol Hill: Jon Ryan Schaffer pleaded guilty to two charges—obstruction of an official proceeding and entering the Capitol with a dangerous or deadly weapon.
Schaffer, who has no criminal record, faced six counts of various trespassing and disorderly conduct offenses. (He did not plead guilty to any of the initial charges.)
He turned himself in to law enforcement on January 18 and has remained behind bars ever since; like many Capitol defendants, Schaffer was transported to Washington, D.C. to await trial.
