In the New York Times, David Leonhardt writes about “Irrational COVID Fears.” The subhead: “Why do so many vaccinated people remain fearful?” Oh, I don’t know. Maybe because of constant media hysteria, and the insistence by Dr. Fauci and others that vaccinated people continue to wear masks?
That isn’t where Leonhardt is going, of course. He begins with the fact that most people are terrible at objectively assessing risk. That is both true and unfortunate, but not exactly news. It does apply to covid vaccination:
The vaccines have nearly eliminated death, hospitalization and other serious Covid illness among people who have received shots.

Search American Conservative Movement for an article titled: “Stanford study quietly published at NIH.gov proves face masks are absolutely worthless against Covid”. Keywords are absolutely worthless. They are fear masks. The stop nothing. Warning Lake on packages says for dust only. Dust and not a sub microscopic biological agent. Quit wearing them.

I have some friends who have been vaccinted, and still won't eat in a restaurant! Bizarre. And one is a normally quite intelligent guy.
Three of our seven person decades old Sunday dinner crowd are all that have been having dinner together this last year. Two couples are still hiding under the bed, apparently.

I wore my industrial respirator today when I was mowing....like I have for the last 10 years that we have owned that property. If I don't wear it, the dust and grass 'stuff' makes my allergies go nuts. With the industrial respirator, no allergy problems.
But as to those silly cloth things....I never wear one outside and only the absolute minimum inside.
Masks are BS.

Driving to the local market the other day and saw an older woman getting her daily exercise and was amused to see she was wearing a broad brimmed hat, long sleeve shirt, long pants and had on her mask. I live in Florida..and this was early in the morning. All I could do was shake my head at the poor soul. Most of us elderly in Florida have to take Vitamin D because doctors have convinced us that ANY exposure to sunlight will result in skin cancer. The virus is far less likely to survive in warm climates but there she was, protecting herself. What wimps we have become...

Credit to Tucker last week, who kept asking why we have to remain masked if the vaccines work. But no one will answer.

Many in the U.S. will be wearing a mask 365 days from today, and many will wear a mask for their entire life.

Most people are terrible at objectively assessing risk ? Really ? Assumption of risk is part of everyone's daily life. Crossing a street, skiing, driving, rollerblading, ice skating, biking, swimming, etc. all come with risk. It's the left that treats people as children. It's the left that believes that they should be running people's lives.Eating is a risk too, you can choke. Baby food for everyone?

I was in the airport last week, and my mask slipped off of my nose (I am vaccinated). An obnoxious goth girl turned around, looked at me and commanded “You, mask up, now! Yes, you!”
In that moment, I had two options: pull the mask up and give this nitwit a meaningless victory, or have the situation escalate in a very blue state.
I pulled the mask up, but later caught her trying to cut the line to get on the plane. She saw me, and slinked back.
A victory? No. A draw? Probably. It’s just not worth it to constantly battle with the anointed keepers of virtue.

Get a clue Useful Idiots, IF the Vaccine was really effective you WOULD NOT have to wear a mask.
