The U.S. Capitol Police officer who shot dead an Air Force veteran during the tumultuous events on Jan. 6 will not be charged, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced Wednesday.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division decided jointly not to pursue charges against the officer.
The decision came after a “thorough investigation” into the shooting of Ashli Babbitt, a 35-year-old who joined others in storming the U.S. Capitol in Washington during a joint session of Congress in January. Babbitt was shot while trying to climb through a broken window into the Speaker’s Lobby, adjacent to the House chamber.

Of course. Did you expect anything less?
Meanwhile, an officer who may have over-reacted or made a terrible mistake in Minneapolis is going to be drawn, quartered, tarred and feathered, and then treated very badly.
All hail Big Brother!

“thorough investigation”
Translation, predetermined outcome investigation. I hope this trigger happy cop is outed. This is a bad cop, an affirmative action cop. How many in line of duty shootings are on this killer’s record?

A black guy, without warning, shot an unarmed white woman . She was trespassing. Nothing to see, move along. A cop shoots a guy that was wanted and was resisting arrest, the cop will be indicted.

Less than 24 hours after the fact,, we knew the manner of the officer who shot Daunte. 4 mounts late, we're not allowed to know who shot Ashli. Gee, if I didn't know how fair and honest liberals are, I'd almost think this was a bit of a double standard...

Please let me know where the ‘peaceful white protest’ will be . I need a new 60 inch tv for the summer, plus a few gallons of tequila for some margaritas to drink while watching my free tv.
Thanks in advance.

OK, I'll say it. She had the wrong color skin to ever expect this to go to court!!!
And since they have never mentioned it, I'm guessing the cop was black.
The DOJ knows white people aren't going to take to the streets, doing violent protests, burning down cities, and hurting innocent people. So nothing to lose by just dropping it.
I was never racist in my 63 years. But I am seriously considering it now...

Will the officer at least get a strongly worded letter in his file?
At least the copy in Minnesota acknowledged her failure and resigned.

Exactly what was the imminent mortal threat that the unarmed Ashli Babbitt posed that would completely justify and exonerate a trained officer for shooting and killing her???
The family needs to immediately file a civil suit for her wrongful death.

Justice for us, Just-Us for Democrat's executioners. Naci will probably give the executioner some kinda Congressional award for bold action in the face of an unarmed non threatening woman. When its a black guy shot by accident by a white women, its Democrats' time to riot. When a black man executes a white woman, its hero worship time. This is getting beyond disgusting.

Someone may have posted another name below, but I believe the guy's name is David Bailey, a member of the Capitol Police Force. I have his picture I lifted from somewhere in my pictures file. He is black and was wearing a suit and at least one bracelet.

So, murder by Pelosi's thugs is OK.
Shooting an unarmed trespasser is OK.
Murder is OK as long as you murder a white woman.
There would have been hell to pay if this thug had been white and had shot a black trespasser. But a black thug shooting a white trespasser.....that's perfectly OK with the criminals-in-charge in DC.

BJ Clinton taught us their immorality won't hurt them.
Hillary taught us that rules are for the little people.
Comey taught us they can frame us and pay no price.
And now the lesson that they can shoot us dead simply for showing up to complain about it.
Their behavior will continue to get worse until somebody tells these people "no", and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

#12, I know people who have worked with Horiuchi. His story is "just following orders".
Some claim he was shooting into the Waco compound, too. Not sure if that is an urban legend or fact.

Didn't expect anything else!! The officer was black. Babbitt was unarmed and did not threaten anyone! Just imagine if this was the other way around: riots, looting, burning everything in sight, screeching, etc. "The family" would already be demanding a separate 'investigation' so that they get a gazillion $ 'settlement'! Oh, this was just a white woman, who cares!

So a Capitol Police officer who intentionally shot an unarmed civilian goes free without even being identified while a Minnesota police officer who accidentally shot a wanted man who was resisting arrest is identified and arrested. Congress has absolutely no standing to enact any police "reform" legislation.

Because white people don't riot when there's been an injustice. If that was a white guy shooting an unarmed block woman in the exact same situation he'd already be in jail and his bosses fired.

Since they're hiding everything like... somethings not... quite... right, ya know, let's use our resources to find out who he is. There are only so many black lieutenants in the DC Police. We know when he was on duty. We know where, roughly, he was assigned. We know from their own mouths in reports, that he was in plainclothes. Shouldn't be hard to find him and get the truth.

This gives me great confidence in our trusty DOJ. (/s) Our FBI sends multiple agents to a location with a "noose." They seem to have nothing to say about the arsons, rioting, looting, murders, etc. all across the country. Harris cheers them on.
What a great country we now live in.

Most white women still vote Democrat (despite their online “conservatism). Own it, ladies, it’s your country now. This is the new USSA, and Trump didn’t do a damn thing about the shooter when he was still President.

Because she didn't really die, IMHO...Tin foil hat here, but it feels like a setup to me. She gets shot and nobody flinches or runs. There should have been a stampede. She "falls" on a heavily padded backpack. The blood looks fake, and a cop gives a thumbs up to the people on the other side. Knowing the lengths Antifa will go to, I wouldn't put it past them.

It's OK for a Black police officer to shoot a White female who was only protesting but a White female police officer who accidentally shot and killed a Black man, that was running from police because he had a warrant out for his arrest for armed robbery, is charged with manslaughter.

Common sense and their two good eyes should have told anyone that Ashli was not trying to crawl through the uppermost part of a partially broken glass pane in that doorway. The jagged lower glass was still fixed. Had she been through the broken pane when shot she’d have fallen on that lower jagged glass. A little woman, she was boosted on the back of a man. Early on a witness said she wanted to poke her cell phone/camera through the broken-out portion of the pane. That account strangely disappeared. Her family needs to file a civil suit.
