ROME—There is a link between AstraZeneca’s COVID-19 vaccine and very rare blood clots in the brain but the possible causes are still unknown, a senior official for the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said in an interview published on Tuesday.
“In my opinion, we can now say it, it is clear that there is an association with the vaccine. However, we still do not know what causes this reaction,” Marco Cavaleri, chair of the vaccine evaluation team at the EMA, told Italian daily Il Messaggero when asked about the possible relation between the AstraZeneca shot and cases of brain blood clots.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas told department employees he may restart border wall construction to plug what he called “gaps” in the current barrier.
In a conversation with Immigration and Customs Enforcement employees last week Mr. Mayorkas was asked about his plans for the wall and he said that while President Biden has canceled the border emergency and halted Pentagon money flowing to the wall, “that leaves room to make decisions” on finishing some “gaps in the wall.”
Mr. Mayorkas, according to notes of the ICE session reviewed by The Washington Times, said Customs and Border Protection, which oversees the wall, has submitted a plan for what it wants

Not every aspect of the onslaught of self-hate that has broken over America, warped its media, and turned most of the academy—and even apparently, most of its elementary and secondary schools—into centers of reorientation designed to convince Americans their national past is loathsome hypocrisy, is bad. Every country has a national mythos, and the larger, more complicated countries have relatively elaborate, conventionally agreed-upon versions of the raison d’être of their nationalities. In the case of the United States, there have always been some soft points in this rationale, and to a slight extent, there may be some merit in addressing them.

Last week President Donald Trump asked for a full and unrelenting boycott of several corporations who are operating as political activists to advance an agenda on behalf of the far-left. The corporations spoke against election integrity and are opposed to secure election reforms.
Among those corporations cited for immediate boycott was Delta Airlines. On Sunday Delta cancelled over 100 flights: ” Websites at three Delta hubs showed 33 canceled flights arriving or departing, the newspaper notes, with 19 canceled flights at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, 11 at Detroit’s Metropolitan Airport and three at the Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport.” (link)

According to a recent poll Alaska Department of Administration Commissioner Kelly Tshibaka is leading republican Senator Lisa Murkowski in a heavily anticipated primary challenge. Last week Tshibaka announced she would seek Murkowski’s Senate seat.
Current polling shows Tshibaka is ahead of Murkowski in an all-party primary, beating the incumbent by almost 15 points.
(Via Daily Mail) – […] Trump took aim at Murkowski in March, telling Politico he would ‘not be endorsing, under any circumstances, the failed candidate from the great State of Alaska, Lisa Murkowski.’

Several Florida Democrats are challenging a report by the CBS News program “60 Minutes” that attempted to paint the state’s vaccination partnership with the Publix grocery store chain as nefarious.
The program on April 4 explored the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Florida, which has experienced a similar COVID-19 death rate to California and other states despite having much looser restrictions.
In one heated exchange, a reporter pressed Gov. Ron DeSantis on the use of Publix stores to administer vaccines, claiming the fact that Publix contributed $100,000 to his political action committee before the chain was chosen could be seen as evidence of a “pay-for-play” scheme.

A reader asked me a few questions about Chairman Xiden's $2 trillion infrastructure plan, which I gladly answered and will share with readers.
But first let us look at how the mainstream press views this.
CNBC reported, "President Biden unveiled a more than $2 trillion infrastructure and economic recovery package on Wednesday."
Well that's a lot of money. We are increasing federal spending by another 50%. Whee.(Snip) So we are borrowing $2 trillion so we can spend $621 billion on transportation plus another $300 improving public utilities.
That's 45%.

TAIPEI, Taiwan—The Chinese communist regime is accelerating its plans to invade Taiwan, an expert warns, as Beijing ratchets up military maneuvers against the island.
Twenty Chinese military aircraft—including four nuclear-capable H-6K bombers, 10 J-16 fighter jets, two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, and a KJ-500 airborne early warning and control aircraft—entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on March 26, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense. In modern America, we periodically offer up white men as human sacrifices to the PC gods. Among our benefactions: Jake Gardner, Kyle Rittenhouse, Darren Wilson, the Duke lacrosse players, University of Virginia fraternity members, Stacey Koon and Mark Fuhrman.
The rest of us just keep our heads down and pray we won’t be next.
At least the Duke and UVA human offerings were sufficiently upper-crust to have a few journalists and lawyers defending them. But policemen, bar owners, military veterans and a Midwest teenager? Definitely not our crowd, darling.

The French Enlightenment philosopher known to us as Voltaire once said, “Whoever can make you accept absurdity can make you commit injustice.” This was in response to the persecution and execution of Jean Calas, the last man in France to be broken on the wheel. Calas was a Protestant living in a Catholic society, so critics of the Church used his case much in the same way moderns are using George Floyd.
Voltaire, like most men of the Enlightenment, had a simplistic understanding of human society. Through insouciance and critical humor, liberal thinkers dismantled the framework of society without regard to what would replace it. In the process, the modern fanatic

CBS plans to keep its broadcasting rights to the Masters golf tournament in Augusta, Georgia despite its recent activism against the Peach State’s new election reforms.
In an article published on Friday, CBS joined civil rights groups, President Joe Biden, and other activists in urging companies such as Delta, Major League Baseball, UPS, and others to boycott the state and shame Republican lawmakers for passing a law which many of them claimed is a”racist” GOP strategy to suppress voters.
CBS originally headlined the story “3 ways companies can help fight Georgia’s restrictive new voting law” but quietly changed the title to “activists are calling on big companies to challenge new voting laws.
