Amazon has joined the chorus of corporations condemning Republican efforts to tighten election laws in Texas and Georgia. The e-commerce colossus said it opposes measures “aimed at restricting the ability of Americans to vote” as the Lone Star State’s Senate passed a bill that would limit access to mail-in ballots and ban drive-thru voting. “It has been fifty-six years since the Voting Rights Act became law, yet efforts to disenfranchise Black people and other minorities continue to this day,” Amazon exec Jay Carney, who served as ex-President Barack Obama’s press secretary, said in a statement Thursday.

They didn’t even read what the law has in it. Following the scripted talking points as usual. I cancelled my Amazon prime a month ago,

I would bet that 90%+ Amazon customers are white. I guess their ideology out weighs their customer base.

Let me get this right, stealing an election for a Democrat is OK, but asking for ID to vote is racist and must not happen. Got it!

If you believe that major companies don't have a hand in dictating policy,.......well there's always that bridge in Brooklyn

Walmart is a bit less convenient but I will move over as much business as I can.
No use funding someone who takes the position that they are the enemy of freedom.

I dropped my Prime membership when Amazon started going after conservative social media last year and have not purchases one thing from that site since. I do use it as a search engine, though. I go there and find whatever it is that I need and then I go directly to the source’s website, bypassing Amazon completely. I may have to pay shipping, but it’s worth it for my freedom.

Well now, there is the proverbial straw that I was expecting . Been an Amazon/Prime customer since before I bought their first Fire Tablet. There is just too much competition out there that actually believes in our constitution. Bye, Bye Mr Beozsabub

Those corporations are just taking the easy way out by slamming Republican sponsored voting laws, hoping they will be the exempt from criticism from the extreme leftist and potentially violent activists who could cause riots and burn down their properties.

Is this the same Amazon that claimed that mail in ballots on whether or not to unionize would be a bad thing?
As Marco Rubio says. They are a woke hypocritical corporation. And as he says. Amazon won't criticism China, where no one votes.

If these hypocrites want a 3rd world country they should move to one. Plus, they can't produce one person who was denied their right to vote. All of a sudden standing in line to vote should be a banquet, food and drinks for everybody. You're there to vote, not have a freakin picnic.

Amazon has a lot of money and, thus, a lot of political power with which to buy politicians.
Pretty soon Amazon will not have a lot of money at all.
Just wait ...

I am going to have to follow #1 and cancel my Prime membership. I have enjoyed the convenience and the ebooks but it's time to take a stand. I have read all 98 pages of the new Georgia law and I defy anyone to point out where it 'suppresses' anyone's vote. It actually makes it easier in some ways. It does require voter ID and if some rare individual doesn't have a driver's license the state will provide photo ID at no charge, The black people don't seem to have any trouble showing IDs to buy liquor or board an airplane. The Left doesn't like it because it makes it harder to steal an election a la Ossof and Warnock. And don't try to say there was no evidence of voter fraud in 2020. I live in Georgia and there's plenty of solid evidence that the media will not dare report on.

Ok, let's compromise and follow the Constituion's rules: it's up to the states to define the rules, not the feds!

I hardly ever see Amazon trucks in my neighborhood anymore. Prior to November 2020, you'd see several trucks come through each day. Not no more, and it's a beautiful thing to not see.

Jay, stop being such a racist. Your comments reveal your belief that blacks, latinos, and others are too stupid to know how to get an ID card..or drivers license...passport...shallI I go on?

Imagine the integrity of the vote being a partisan issue. But as in any fascist nation, large corporations reliably dance to the government's tune, which in this case means destroying national sovereignty in favor of the NWO. Also, bLACK people and other minorities won't need to cheat much longer given the Great Demographic Leap Downward the USA is embracing.
