The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday announced new guidance for physical-distancing requirements between children in schools, allowing for just three feet of space between students instead of the six feet it had previously recommended.
The new guidance, which will allow more students to be inside classrooms, does not apply to teachers and other adult school staff who still must remain six feet apart. Masks should remain mandatory as well, according to the CDC.
Students also must continue to maintain six feet of distance in common areas, such as auditoriums, and when masks are off, the guidance says.

It is amazing how smart the Chinese virus is. It knows distance and who wears a mask or not.

"Lindsey Marr, an expert on viral transmission and professor at Virginia Tech, told the Times that it is almost as if the six-foot measurement “was pulled out of thin air,” as researchers have found that coronavirus spreads primarily through tiny droplets called aerosols, which can travel over longer distances."
It was pulled out of somewhere, but probably not thin air.

What a remarkable government We have. Whoever would have guessed that they, instead of managing the taxpayers money and governing, would allow themselves to be reduced to such low grade stupidity. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Did the covid virus get tired and worn out and now can only travel 3 feet....or did they just make up the 6 feet with no science behind it? Yep!
Interesting how they can cram people of all ages in, side by side on an airplane, but school children have to be separated. They are just making this stuff up to suit their agenda.

Kids should use 3 feet sometimes, 6 fee at other times, and masks always. Except when not wearing masks? And different rules for staff and teachers who will be dealing with the kids.
That is all certain to work. All our 'experts' say so. Except for the 'experts' who say something else.

We're getting stupid now. What's three feet? Gee, I can't wait until we're told that 1.5 feet is best. Gee!

So basically the CDC is telling school systems to put the desks back in the same position they were before the Chinese virus came along.

I heard on the radio that Virginia public schools will not require the 3 feet distance when the kids are on the school bus. So they can sit right next to each other in the confined space of the bus but not in the classroom?
Leftists are truly insane.

The CDC is clueless. One can tell when they give contradictory guidelines.
Haven't had any bouts of flu or virus in the last 12 months. Seriously doubt social distancing had anything to do with it. Still go out for lunch once a week. Do groceries and make appointments. Biggest difference is how the lockdown has limited the number of people I see. Used to visit a senior center two or three days a week that usually had about 50 people attend, but that's been shutdown for a year. Haven't been spending any time with crowds of people.

Hmmm, isn't a foot the length of the King's foot? Well that means Biden will have to take his foot out of his mouth so we can measure it...
