The Louisiana State University Lady Tigers have won 25 national championships in track and field, and Alanna Smith dreams of contributing to another someday. She just doesn’t think she should have to beat guys to get there. "When I didn’t have to run against biological males, I felt I had a chance," said Alanna, 17. "Whether I came in first or fifth place, I knew that was the spot I deserved. Now it’s dispiriting to know who is going to win." That winner still could be Alanna, who was born in Louisiana and dreams of running as a Lady Tiger. She is now a junior

Why must liberals be so far off from reality and common sense? What is in their brain wiring that makes them go the opposite direction every time? Why don’t they stop and say to themselves, “That’s as far as I will jump off the cliff!”?

I suppose a university could award athletic scholarships to trannys, and could be sued succesfully under Title IX law..
That would mean this young woman might not even get the LSU scholarship she desires.
Logic has ben turned on its head.

When faithless hubristic people are in charge, idolatry of grotesque unGodly things follows because, if you are a believer, it is really Satan who takes the wheel. The downfall of our nation began when we replaced thankfulness to God for all our blessings with bitterness and anger because our lives are not perfect. Veneration for God was replaced with veneration for certain humans with no acceptance of the fact that all humans are innately flawed.
The young woman in this story should be grateful for her health and her intelligence. If her dream of going to LSU is dashed because of transgenders she still knows what she was able to accomplish and if she is faithful to God, no matter where she attends college, her life will blossom.

Welcome to the real world, honeybuns, where sexual freaks now trump the new worship of all things black. We can't be woke and fair at the same time. Hopefully all will be corrected before your running years are over but I see things going in the opposite direction.

What is really amazing, is that women still support democrats. The democratic party is pure scum with no values, morals or even a soul. They treat women like garbage, throw them under the bus and yet women support them. You get what you vote for ladies and until you open your freakin eyes don't complain about it.

I guess poor, dispirited Alanna doesn't believe in EQUALITY. Tough noogies, young lady. The differences between the genders have fallen. You are defending another modern day form of segregation. These "young ladies" you're complaining about are modern Rosa Parks breaking down barriers. Celebrate their courage.

If these transgenders want to compete in athletic games, then they should compete with other trans. Have 3 separate categories. Men, women and trans.

Gee, will this actual female now begin to understand how totally insane the left is across the board?
I am skeptical that the youngsters can learn.

Should someone who chooses to be "female" be entitled to benefits given to those who are born females because they are not men? Women are pretty much universally not as strong and not as fast as men. It is basic biology. So they don't have to compete against men. If someone who has the inborn advantages men have decides to "become female," it isn't fair to give "her" the advantages biological females have in sports (ie, not having to compete against men). But what does science have to do with anything, right?
