Don Lemon says it’s incredibly frustrating that so many White people refer to “tough” conversation about race when it comes easy to him. The CNN host told Jimmy Fallon Thursday night that the blueprint for healing racial divides in America can be found through him and specifically in his new book “How Change Happens.” “This book is a great way to grow,” the “Tonight Show” host said. “And, even just have the conversation. Although it’s awkward, sometimes it needs to be had.” Mr. Lemon signed in exasperation before responding.(Snip) The conversation then zeroed in politically right-leaning Americans as the primary impediment

Rochester’s mayor lied to dodge responsibility about when she learned details about her police department’s handling of the suffocation death of an unarmed Black man in police custody last year, a city-commissioned panel said Friday. Mayor Lovely Warren had said she didn’t learn until August that Rochester cops had slipped a hood over Daniel Prude’s head to keep the mentally ill man from spitting at them during his March 23 arrest after he was seen running naked through the streets. In fact, Warren was told of the incident the very day of Prude’s death—and by mid-April she and then-Police Chief La'Ron

A group of 30 women on Friday spoke out about the bullying and harassment they faced while working with for Andrew Cuomo as the New York Governor insists he won't resign and is not guilty of abuse. The women spoke to New York Magazine in a detailed account of the allegedly abusive environment that the governor's aides are subjected to. It included multiple women who claim that they were led to take anti-depressants and go to therapy for the first time in their lives after the atmosphere created by Cuomo and some of his senior aides took a drastic toll on their mental health.

Antifa protesters have burned American flags and clashed with cops outside the Federal Courthouse in downtown Portland. The ugly scenes occurred Thursday evening, as dozens of the far-left protesters assembled in the area for a demonstration against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The Courthouse has already been boarded up with plywood after sustaining damage during destructive protests last summer, but shocking video shared to Twitter shows all remaining uncovered windows were smashed during the latest demonstration. 'Anti ICE protesters gather. A few of the remaining uncovered windows have been broken. An American flag burns in front of the door,' local journalist

A former aide to Gov. Andrew Cuomo described how he spotted her at a lobbying event, “grabbed her in a kind of dance pose” and then had her hired for his office, where he went on to “verbally and mentally abuse” her, she told New York Magazine, recalling how he would critique her outfits and once threatened to “end” her career over her failure to transfer a phone call.
The ex-staffer, identified only as Kaitlin, spoke to New York for an article published Friday, as dozens of Democratic lawmakers at the state and federal levels have called for Cuomo to resign over sexual harassment

Shocking video shows a massive line of migrants being smuggled across the Rio Grande into Texas, despite President Joe Biden continuing to insist there is no crisis along the southern border. The clip, which was captured on Thursday morning by former Border Security Operations Center manager Jaeson Jones, shows dozens of migrants standing on an embankment as they wait for boats to bring them across into the United States. The small boats appear to be operated by people smugglers concealing their identities in ski masks. The footage has been shared by several politicians, including Texas Rep. Chip Roy, who has blasted President Biden

Amazon has decided to stop selling books that cast lesbian, gay and transgender identities as mental illnesses. The e-commerce titan revealed its decision in a letter to three Republican senators who cried foul last month over the removal of a conservative scholar’s book about transgender people. The book, “When Harry Became Sally: Responding to the Transgender Moment,” was published in 2018 but recently disappeared from Amazon’s website, Kindle store and Audible audiobook platform.(Snip) The book by Ryan Anderson claims to reveal the “often sad reality” of living with gender dysphoria, the discomfort one experiences when their gender identity doesn’t match

Members of the European Parliament voted on Thursday to declare the European Union an “LGBTIQ Freedom Zone,” in direct response to Poland’s so-called “LGBT-free” zones, which were first declared two years ago. The resolution, which passed with 492 votes in favor, 141 against and 46 abstentions, was adopted following the ever-growing deterioration of the rights of sexual orientation and gender identity minorities across many EU nations, namely Poland and Hungary. Since the first anti-LGBTQ zone was declared in the Polish town of Swidnik in March 2019, more than 100 Polish regions, counties and municipalities have adopted resolutions declaring themselves to be free

Seven subway track inspectors have been suspended without pay—amid allegations by the MTA inspector general that they failed to conduct inspections and lied about it on official forms, The Post has learned.
Investigators from IG Carolyn Pokorny’s office stationed at platforms along inspection routes said the seven workers “were nowhere to be found” during scheduled walking tours, despite affirming otherwise on official forms, according to the IG’s Dec. 28 report, which was obtained by The Post. The seven workers were flagged to the IG by supervisors after news reports of debris falling from elevated tracks. Investigators also caught them using personal cell phones while

Kingdom come… to Prince Charles’ defense. Members of The Kingdom’s Choir—who performed at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding—are speaking up in defense of Prince Charles as the royal family faces allegations of racism stemming from the Sussexes’ Sunday night pow-wow with Oprah Winfrey. Ms. Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of The Kingdom’s Choir, told TMZ Thursday that it was Prince Charles who invited the African-American group to bless the congregation during Harry and Meg’s nuptials, an invitation she believed to be sincere. She also claims Charles has gone “out of his way” to congratulate them on their success since the event.
