University of Wisconsin-Madison's police chief has banned officers from using "Thin Blue Line" imagery while on duty. Chief Kristen Roman informed officers of the ban in a Jan. 15 email that was made public this week. The department faced criticism in November over a photo posted to its Twitter account that showed a "Thin Blue Line" flag displayed at the police department's office. The "Thin Blue Line" flag, which resembles an American flag but has a blue stripe, is a sign of support for law enforcement but has also come to signal opposition to the racial justice movement and a

San Francisco (of course) already did it back in May 2020, and the Canadian Mounties did it in October 2020. The Kampus Kop is a little late to the party.

Only when Police Chiefs like this apparent wimp claim that so-called “Blue Line Imagery” has been co-opted by a politicized group and thus surrender that imagery will that be considered to have happened. She has to be the Chief in a really politically correct place to take that stance.

Police chief?
Doesn’t the word POLICE signal opposition to the
Racial Justice Movement?
Isn’t the word CHIEF offensive to
Native Americans?
BTW, The American Flag itself has been banned
in certain schools and other places

Feminists are destroying this country one job at a time. I’m convinced that one of the worst mistakes this country made was giving women the right to vote. They’re not emotional, you argue? Bull. Far too many of those elected are governed by emotions rather than considered, rational thought. And before you flame me, I am a woman who has experienced the hostile workplace crap, unequal pay, etc. I stood my ground and fought back...and won.

The police do not fit into the racial justice movement because the very definition of racial justice means committing any crime, any time, any place and not being arrested.

They still don't get the connection between this brazen garbage smearing law abiding citizens and the disrespect and mocking that is heading their way like a brick wall. The sheriff dept is the only LE that I have plenty of respect for. I pretty much have none for most of the leadership of the boys in blue. Anyone remember all the stories about the sky high rape numbers on most of these big school campuses back in the 80's and 90's? That issue is what prompted all the security on these school campuses. But I guess the students baying for defunding the cops don't remember all the victims of crime and how the police were brought in to stop it.
The leftist campuses that are defanging their police protection are heading for a massive civil action if some woman gets hurt on one of these campuses that no longer have proper security. I have no sympathy for the schools either. Reap what you sow liberals, and enjoy the misery and the lawsuits.

"Police chief bans 'Thin Blue Line' imagery, says it's been 'co-opted' by extremists"
It nice that they banned it.
But, "it's been 'co-opted' by extremists" is not the reason it should be banned everywhere.
The reason it should be banned everywhere is because
the tribe of State uses it to exempt themselves
from the casual pain the State imposes upon the public.
It's a shield that insiders seek to hide behind so that
their clan does not bite them
as their clan bites the public.
A democracy (Yeh, I know, sit down) can not long survive
"one law for me, and another for you"
They get a parade, that's enough.

I'm a bit uncomfortable making heroes out of regular guys. We see it all the time with cops, military, and firemen. Now we are seeing it for medical people, truck drivers, grocery store employees and who knows what else. If everyone is a hero, no one is a hero. I've been a cop and I've been military, and the vast majority are just regular guys doing a job. They dont think they are heroes and I would be suspicious of one that does.
On top of that, its easy to say we support law enforcement..until hes breaking down the door serving a warrant with the wrong address or arresting you for smoking in a verboten area, even if that area is a private business. Or maybe he's taking your kids away because you posted pictures of them shooting at your local range. Lets be careful who we idolize.

"Opposition to the racial justice movement?" Equine excrement.
Law enforcement only opposes those who oppose them first.
