Prior to entry into politics, Donald Trump was a celebrity loved by the media and adored by millions of Americans. He was a successful real estate developer and the star of a reality TV show. His life was fabulous, full of success and praise from across the country. It all changed for Donald Trump on June 16, 2015, when he announced his presidential campaign after the famous escalator ride. His media coverage immediately changed from positive to unrelentingly negative. During his speech, Trump told the truth about Mexico sending criminals into the country. He was immediately labeled a “racist” and the hateful attacks have never stopped.

I wholeheartedly agree with OP. It has been heartbreaking to watch what was being done to or First Family for the last four plus years and shocking to learn how deep and wide the swamp is. He tried, it was a one man army, but just couldn't do it all. How can any Republican who didn't support him look at themselves in the mirror every day? A rhetorical question because I know why they did it. Money.

This man has the armor of God about him..I had been praying over and over, day after day, that he would win a second term, but alas not...but I've come to the realization that God didn't abandon him, but has a bigger plan in place...but being a mere mortal, I know not what it is...trust in the Lord...

I was shocked and sickened to find out how deep and wide the rot is in this country. No institution is free of it. Our system of government relies on an informed citizenry and public servants who are virtuous. We have neither.

Most of our politicians have no ethics whatsoever. They blow whichever the prevailing wind happens to be blowing at the time. More interested in keeping their job than doing what is right. Lucrative jobs . Jobs where they have aids and people who do the hard work while they take the bows.

Donald Trump won the greater glory. He had a charmed life and did not have to enter the political game. He did it because he knew that he could be the best and he proved it early on. All of the mediocre and poor performers who called themselves leaders were proven wrong and their hatred grew from that. He exposed nearly every agency connected to the federal government as inept and corrupt. Here's to the best President we will ever have.

Prior to his election, I couldn't stand Trump. His policies won me over and his combative style. While sometimes cringworthy, provided endless entertainment.
What was demonstrated over the past 4 years is exactly how untrustworthy the government is. There us very little honor, integrity or truthfulness to be found in DC.

If only PDT had run as a demonrat, they would have dropped to their knees and kissed the steps of that escalator.

I went to Whitehouse.gov a week or so ago and wrote a note to President Trump, telling him THANK YOU for giving US, America, 5 years of his life. He could have had the most pleasant lifestyle imaginable, but he dove in and wrestled the Swamp Things with all his might. For 5 years (counting his campaign) he fought America's enemies, both those in foreign countries and those imbedded in the Media and Government here at home.
Once again, I say...... THANK YOU, PRESIDENT TRUMP!

Of all President Trump's accomplishments, I think his exposure of just how DEEP the corruption is in this country, at great expense to himself, will be the most important. The real question is whether we are too far down the rabbit hole to dig ourselves out. Thank you President Trump for taking all of the arrows that were meant for us. We will miss you!
