2020 taught us one good thing: Celebrities
are meaningless

You know we’re done with celebrity when even Jennifer Aniston suffers backlash.
Her offense? Posting a photo of her newest Christmas ornament, memorializing “Our first pandemic 2020.”
And off she went, trending on Twitter for being — like so many of her cohort this year — tone-deaf, insensitive and out of touch.
“Why do celebrities not use logic?” went one typical anti-Aniston tweet. “Why?”
Among the many disruptions brought by COVID, our relationship to fame, Hollywood and celebrities has also shifted. As it turns out, they need us more than we ever needed them.
As the world went into lockdown, movie theaters and music venues closed

Face it, most celebrities did not become so because of brains.

We can count on one hand the movie stars who have real brains. Anybody can read lines and undress on cue.

I’ve needed plenty of people in my lifetime. Doctors, mechanics, police, grocery store workers, the trash man, farm workers, but never, not even once, have I ever needed a Hollywood celebrity or and athlete.

In this age of 'cancel culture' many celebrities have canceled themselves out like Robert DeNiro. I refuse to watch movies I thought were good because of the actors in them like Godfather 2. One by one I've dropped much entertainment because of the politics of actors and musicians. I didn't go to movie theaters long before the China virus and don't intend to start going now.

I am so tired of celebrities telling us what to do and taking off their clothes. They have become vulgar and useless and that includes Harry and Megan who want so very much to be relevant but haven't because they have not earned our respect. Hilary Baldwin is a poster woman for their hypocrisy. She is a fake whose only claim to fame is taking pictures of herself in various stages of undress even after she was caught being a fraud. She was on a walk with her has-been husband still taking pictures of herself. In fact, it was the first time I have ever seen a picture of her in clothes. She loves her naked body so much that she flaunts it. What a no talent loser. I wouldn't ever buy a product any of these Communist celebrities push.

They aren't making a dime off of me. Last move wife and I saw was The Trump Card. Before that 2016: Obama Years. Before that 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi.

Last movie we saw at a theater was Passion of the Christ. These useless people are trying to stay relevant in a world that now realizes they offer nothing to better our lives. They flaunt their wealth and complain about being locked down in a mansion with all the amenities and household help. Self important cretins. The left is always “cancelling” people for culture appropriation. Does that apply to Hilary Baldwin? Bet it doesn’t. Their hypocrisy is exceeded only by their double standards.

The good news for me is that about 90% of the "celebrities" that are mentioned on line are people I never heard of and don't recognize their faces. Even if someone says "Oh, he played Bobby on thus-and-so show"....I reply, "Who? On what show? Never heard of him or the show."
Staying away from garbage TV and garbage movies has it's real advantages. You don't even know who these losers are.

The last movie I saw in a theater was American Sniper. And not long after I was horrified to learn that Bradley Cooper threw a fund-raiser for Illary. Apparently he learned absolutely nothing by playing Chris Kyle.

I suspect it would not be a bad thing to turn back the clock on the subject of celebrities. If you stop to think about it, it was only at the turn of the 20th century that the entire acting profession got any kind of respect or decent money. From Ancient Greece on forward, actors were treated little better than the prostitutes and street walkers that they still are to a certain extent.
Nobody decent would receive them in their home, even if it were somebody from their family. They were pretty much shunned by their own families and most of decent society. Most of the women actresses had 'patrons' who supported them and financed their retirements for them. I looked it up once a year or so ago, and discovered that in ancient Greece, the word for dissembling hypocrite was the word ACTOR. If that isn't hitting the bullseye I don't know what is.

Actors spend their life pretending to be someone else, which means they don't spend a lot of time in self-reflection and being themselves. Yet they somehow know what is best for everyone else. Their self-importance is certainly very prominent, yet their wisdom is lacking.

I'm fine with pretty women taking off their clothes for my entertainment. I like naked women. But that doesn't mean I would consider their opinion worth a bucket of warm spit.
d
Even talented actors don't influnce me. Just because they may have some talent as an actor/singer/whatever doesn't mean their opinons are valid. Talent in one area doesn't mean they have talent in any other area.
Cher is the perfect example. She spent a lot of time telling Trump how to run the country but she was a " D" student in high school and barely got her diploma. Being able to sing doen't mean you have a clue to what is going on in the real world.
Idiots, all of them.
