Speaking at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Orlando Friday morning, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis explained how his state was able to provide accurate and swift election results during the 2020 presidential cycle.
"Florida has also led and continues to lead on ensuring the integrity of our elections. Now 20 years ago, if you had uttered the word Florida and the word elections in the same sentence, you would have been met with snickers. Well when I came into office, I didn't wait for a crisis I took early action to make sure we would have a smooth election," DeSantis said.

NY could use a DeSantis type instead of the brutal thug running the state (comrade Cuomo).

Governor DeSantis cleaned up Florida's elections. Rick Scott looked the other way until it affected his election. Scott gave those two cheating bimbos a pass because of the color of their skin. Their elections in Broward and Palm Beach County were a disaster before DeSantis said you are fired. The media tried to make it as if DeSantis was racist. When everything came out, how incompetent they were and how the elections were not ran within the law, the media went away. Before DeSantis, FL looked like PA, MI, NV, AZ, GA, etc.

The biggest threat to Florida’s election system is two or three counties in South Florida. Remember the scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark where the floor of the tomb was crawling with slimy snakes? That’s a South Florida. The rest of the state, for the most part, is still in pretty good shape.

DeSantis is on the right track and the democrats know it which is why they are flocking there in droves to tip the demographics in their favor. This is a strategy happening around the country. Democrats flood red states in order to turn them blue. We need governors of courage and conviction. Unfortunately, many Republican governors are not much better than democrats. My governor, Mike DeWine in Ohio, being one of them. He has crushed the economy with his draconian edicts regarding Covid. He is better than a democrat but not by much. We need bold, confident, conservative leadership like DeSantis and others. Look around the country. Success flourishes in red states. The democrats with their horrific anti-American globalist policies are a disaster. People are tired of their virtue signaling division. The nail in their coffin is going to be amnesty and open borders which will destroy the economy. I would like to see every border state put their national guard on the border and dare illegal aliens to cross. Why not defy this illegitimate government? After all, we are in the midst of a global pandemic, right? It makes no sense to have illegals show up at the border with no health screenings and be allowed entrance. Beat democrats at their own game. We cannot win if we do not push back. Kudos to Gov. DeSantis for fighting for his state.

Yes, Florida was famous for election fraud. Brenda Snipes was Supervisor of Elections for Broward County. She could always be counted on to 'find" votes. Finally she was forced out and then Florida elections worked as they were supposed to. Seems every state has one Crooked person like her! DeSantis is a good guy, but never take him for a Pushover. I know his Star is rising, and I think he would be a good President, but I also think the Deep State will do whatever they can to take him out. They don't want anyone, ever again, who will mess with the good thing they have going in D.C.!

Many, if not all, Florida counties have failed to cull their voter rolls of individuals who are not qualified to vote, including individuals who died many years ago. Also it continues that far too many snow birds from other states vote in their home state (especially New York and New Jersey) and vote again in Florida. It seems that neither Democrats nor Republicans have made any effort whatsoever to prevent these snow bird 2-time voters.
Also regarding Rick Scott: about 6 or 7 (?) years ago a voting precinct in St. Lucie County (Florida) tabulated 160% of the number of registered voters (something close to 1,000 registered voters and 1.600 votes cast). Scott ignored Republican requests to investigate. Scott said this problem was the responsibility of St. Lucie County's Supervisor of Elections. He knew - or should have known that - she was an African-American Democrat known for her bias, who would do nothing. In short: Scott punted. He's now a U.S. Senator in Florida and seems to doing a good job. It remains to be seen whether he's going to someday chicken out as a U.S. Senator.

he has such promise there can only be one direction for him and I think our President is beginning to pave the way for him to rise in the system. prediction: 2024, Trump/DeSantis; 2028 Desantis/Noem
seems like a natural evolution, if you want to call it that

Proof that an election can be done right... if... the governors of all states would follow the constitution...unfortunately the political patronage system has taken hold in blue states and WE the people have a big job ahead to unseat these inept and corrupt people...case in point Illinois... Pritzker feeds off the taxpayers and cares nothing for the people... he vacations in Florida while he citizens can't get access to the vaccine... BUT his family is taken care of ... where do you suppose the thousands of vaccines he was issued reside?... he sold them to the highest bidder and Illinois suffers..schools closed because of the teacher's union and WE are still in lockdown...welcome to Illinois...

We still have room for improvement because Duval county damn sure isn't blue. I do have to admit I am seeing more and more plates from Illinois , California and here lately there is a lot of folks who are taking umbrage to our school names.

He is making the Dems shake in their dirty boots. They will try to destroy him but he's from the Trump school of returning the serve. And he does it well. Boy, do I wish I was living in Florida again. I have to put up with Democrat Gov Michele Grisham...Queen Napoleon of NM.

After the Bush-Gore election fiasco, the 2005 Carter-Baker Commission recommended policies for insuring ballot integrity including what needed to be corrected. Florida, to its credit, implemented the Carter-Baker recommendations. As a result, Florida’s vote count went smoothly.
However, many states, at Democrats insistence, made voting rule changes that the Carter-Baker Commission recommended against In this last election.
Where they can, Republicans need to clean up election rules using the Carter-Baker Commission recommendations.

Love that Governor DeSantis!
Every state needs one of him.
And furthering #3’s notes, if you’re incompetent and I fire you for your failures, does it matter what skin color you have?
Only to the radical left mob of marxists.
Not to any sensible human....

Ron's my man!! Look up his credentials. He must be from Central Casting. Great education (well, in those days.) Been to Washington so knows the landscape. And most importantly, a governor, especially of a state that knows how to function. DJT is too old, with way too much baggage. Ron can do it!!!

Funny. When I lived in Broward for ten years never met a democrat. My crowd was Conservative. But then I didn’t hang out with New York transplants.
