President Donald Trump’s legal team distanced themselves from attorney Sidney Powell on Sunday evening, noting that she did not represent the president, either as part of the team or in his personal capacity. In a statement attributed to Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, and Trump legal adviser Jenna Ellis, the team said: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.” A source who spoke to Breitbart News on background suggested that the team had hoped to work with her, but that Powell’s

This is not a good message!! Ms Powell does NOT speak without substance! I’m convinced she’ll be validated... regardless of what Christie and toomey say!

I'm sorry to hear this because Sidney Powell made more sense than any of her team members...much more sense than listening to Rudy drone on and one just to hear the lilting notes of his own voice.
I'm getting fed up with all of it and especially tired of the never Trumpers texting me all day asking for money for the two Senators from Georgia. What has Georgia done for anyone lately???

I find this hard to believe, Breitbart or not. I cry BS. I’ve been watching and listening to her since representing Flynn. She has a sterling reputation, unlike the majority of liberal hack lawyers. Maybe her quote to impeach Roberts made someone butt hurt. Hopefully, this is fake news! I want the Kraken released!

Hmm, this is the sort of generic empty message you give to the rest of the company and outside clients after you fired someone.
Either they decided she really had nothing and was a psycho or it was too hot and distracting to the Trump team's directed efforts on the elections now and her stuff wasn't going to help in time.
But, tbh, sounds like she got fired. No update from her on her Twitter feed but Lin Wood has a vaguely positive message on his like he does about everything.
Overall, does sound bad.

Maybe the team views those CIA sourcing claims as valid and alarming, but also an unnecessary distraction for now (to be pursued later?) from their current goal to simply identify enough 'outside' interference to get the election into the House.

Do not discount the idea that this could be a legal necessity. I am not a lawyer but I know enough about the law to know it is a strange thing with a lot of strange twists and turns.
Sounds a bit like boilerplate language to my ears.
And, this does not change anything... really. Powell is going to do her thing. Wood is going to do his thing.
As long as someone reveals the truth I do not really care who it is that gets the job done.
And the MEDIA is going to read into this everything they can to deflate a very spirited group of people. Ignore them.

All the more reason to send a donation to Sidney Powell's defense fund: Defending the Republic.org
I think Sidney Powell is well-aware of what she is doing. She is placing her reputation on the work she is going to be doing for our country. As she has said, if proved wrong she can be sued for defamation. She is giving up everything to get justice for our country, so we should support her.
She needs our support and our prayers.

Something strange just occurred to me.
What if Powell was made a special prosecutor months ago? She would have the power to indict.

She said earlier today that the Republican governor of Georgia will be first up. Tells me that - as a true American - she's showing no party allegiance. Trump - and those around him - may, therefore, be forced to wash their hands of her actions. No intention of getting in her way, just can't be a part of it.

This is all based on a “source”. Breitbart has been acting really weird since the election.Very close to the foxes at Fox. Sidney is not financed by the campaign .Lin Wood is on his own too.

Does. Not. Com. Pute.
Did not three lawyers hold a press conference where SP described her voting machine allegations and the other two guys nodded in agreement?
Was it Powell accusing Ga's Gov of being dirty that sunk her? It was the last thing she said.
Maybe they just want to get her off the talk shows to control messaging.

Was she EVER a member of the team? Is this just a clarification of employment status?
It would explain why Rudy gets to speak first. I can't take much more of his Cousin Vinny stories with hair dye running down his face. Sidney Powell presents the most coherent case.

At first blush, it doesn't make sense. Though it could be a tactic to throw everyone off. In other words, keep them off balanced. Perhaps being off his team gives her special privileges as a lawyer to obtain evidence more quickly from a corporate entity without our government interfering that may take time. In other words, it may open a door for her that would not open for the others on his team.
Joe deGenova and his wife who are also private lawyers /advisors and not officially on his team. Could it be that to be part of his team would mean she would have to be approved by the DOJ or have a special clearance or meet other protocol regulations? Would it be a conflict of interest with her Flynn case? There are many questions that I'm sure have rational answers. Let's wait and see.

Actual press release from the Trump campaign. Note who signed it.
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

She implied this in a different article yesterday where she said she was passing on her findings to the Trump team so they could conduct their own analysis. It still remains to be seen if this is real or just smoke and mirrors. Nothing has changed.

#7 is correct. Must be significant that she stated she was working for the American people(??). I believe she was signalling a break with the team first.
She also went after a Trump bud, the GA. Gov. and implicated him in the voting machine scandal.
I have a feeling Sidney Powell broke with the President's team and went public w/it first. Perhaps over her desire to target Trump allies in her path. Which The Team would not authorize.
As for now, that is what I am surmising. Need to start seeing bonafide evidence which is proof.

Very misleading article. Sidney has never been formally a part of that team, she is aligned and is a team member in a broader spirit. Nothing just happened except they issued a clarification, obviously a needed one. On CTH someone said that one reason Sidney is not formally on the team is she is defending Flynn, who is opposing DOJ, of which PDJT is (officially) the chief, so it would be conflict of interest if she were also on his team in the election matter.

I think Red State and BB are juicing the story a bit. Rudy G's statement is just a clarification of roles. Since she is not, just like Linn, a member of the team, it is important to keep the line clear. If for nothing else than to please the O/E carriers - they get a lot nervous or some very small things, and this one involves very big things. It is also important that those lines are clear because third parties may get "confused" as to who may be speaking for the Pres./DOJ, et al.
I don't see where anything has changed at all. All three groups appear to be still aligned.

Without a client she is as helpless as a beached whale. No power to issue subpoenas, no power to call witnesses, no basis to file a brief, no ability to argue in court. She may be a great lawyer, but “the American people” are not a client. She needs to represent a party with legal standing to sue. If it were otherwise, freelancing lawyers would be lined up down the sidewalk waiting to be heard.

I'm going to let this run it's course, but I was pretty sure I heard Giuliani call her a senior part of the team. This may be parsing, or just the way I heard it. You probably don't want me to be a lawyer. I do miss things.
Having said all that, we are living in interesting times, and I really don't know what to do about it.
