Maine Democrat Gov. Janet Mills reversed her decision last week to allow restaurants in the state’s southern counties to reopen June 1, suggesting to owners they sell already purchased perishable foods to prisons at the government contract rate.
Just days before restaurants in Cumberland, York, and Androscoggin Counties were slated to reopen to allow for indoor dining with health and safety measures in place, the governor reversed course, claiming an uptick in COVID-19 cases in the region.
“A date for the reopening of dine-in services in these counties is yet to be determined,” the Mills administration said.

She told them they could reopen-- they hired staff back and bought food, then she reversed her decision. Can you imagine what these owners are dealing with?
THIS is worthy of riots.

Maine's tourist season is 5, maybe 6 months long. Hotels and restaurants literally shut down after Halloween. Keeping these businesses shut down will kill them off for good.

There are no words to describe the loathing I have for this moron. Maine still has less than 100 deaths for the whole state and she has everything in the southern part of the state in a hammer lock. I'm supposed to go on my annual fishing trip there in August and I have the feeling this dope will still have the state shut down, especially to vacationers. She is going to destroy the economy of Maine.

I wonder...what's the gov't contract rate for a prison-sized portion of surf and turf? Why is it femule gubernators are the WORST tyrants? Is it insecurity, inferiority complex...subconscious awareness that they were elected only because of their sex?

So sad. Maine is my favorite place in the world and was really trying to figure out how I could get up there this summer. Not now.

Someone on a different location called these female, Democrat governors, titty-tyrants. Name fits perfectly. I just hope when this is all over, people remember these leftist thinking, authoritarian-mad, vagina toting, Democrat-run, power-obsessed booby tyrants.
Every state. They’re all the same.

So what are the people of Maine doing about it? Are they sitting home doing nothing? If so, this will go on as long as they don't push back. Sad, but true!

Be careful #4, don't let your misogyny show too much. We have three pretty terrible governors right here in the NY, NJ and PA tri-state. In fact, with their nursing home policy, I'd venture to say they are by far the worst. All are male.

She must be in competition with Gov Witchmer In Michigan.. the Michigan Gov royally stepped in excrement the other day- she opened up more per her ‘safe’ standards- based not on science or advice- can’t be because she never reference where she gets her ideas of safe..
Told the women of Michigan to google hair cutting or put a pony tail in- she said salons may open before July 4.. almost 5 months keeping an industry shut..
The liberal Democrat hairstylists I work with used to love the Gov... not so much anymore.

This woman is our governor and a disgrace. Unfortunately the idiots who vote people like her live in Portland and larger towns. Most come from out of state like MA, Ct,NJ,NY etc. There are a handful of conservatives like me, who have tried to beat her but we are outnumbered I’m praying LePage will run again before she ruins the state completely. Above poster is correct that most conservatives live outside of Portland and vote Republican. It’s discouraging to live in such a lovely state and feel we are under a gestapo regime.

I would take that food, set up a stand and sell it to anyone who would want to buy it. I would never sell it to the prisons. Let them eat cake.

This is one smart lady! Remind me never to vacation in Maine again. I thought the last stupid liberal had left when Stephen King moved to Florida.
