The Justice Department’s decision to dismiss the prosecution of Gen. Flynn caused left liberal heads to explode. None exploded more loudly than that of Norman Ornstein. He tweeted, “Bill Barr is a fascist.”
No serious analyst would make such a claim, even in the heat of the moment. It’s certainly not fascist to call for review of a case in which a public servant may have been set up for prosecution by his political enemies, and then to drop the prosecution based on a thorough review by a respected U.S. attorney.
If Barr had ordered dismissal of the case against the recommendation of that U.S. attorney,

To mix metaphors, the layers are peeling away at a quickening pace, the cuts getting close to the bone. The scope of the corruption is coming into focus.
So the shrieks get louder, and the principals weigh in (Obama, the NYT). The masks drop.
We are in a civil war for the soul of this Republic, calling to mind Ben Franklin's cautionary words, that the Founders have given us a Republic, "if you can keep it." And the odds are still against us. The "absurd" and "outrageous" howls are not cries of defeat, but merely signs of an emerging awareness of the possibility of defeat.
Consider this: At whom are these shots directed? Not at conservatives, but at the liberal faithful, in danger of realizing their profound betrayal. Liberals, toughen up! this says.
Liberals such as those who will make up the grand juries John Durham will face in bringing charges against the conspirators.

Fascist? Barr just said "No" to their TDS narrative. Their response is "You are not giving me what I want and I will hold my breath until my face turns blue" hysteria. This is the start of justice.
If this is how they react with this small dose of fairness, it will be entertaining to see what they do when some of them start getting "locked up" for their role in this broad conspiracy.

The prosecution played hardball with Flynn, but I don’t believe it behaved illegally.
Really? So, it's not illegal to hold exculpatory evidence from Flynn, Flynn's lawyers and the judge? Did the law school fairy tell you that?

I don’t know who Ornstein is, but he’s either naive or dishonest, which is the case with all those on the political left, IMO.

I am concerned for Sally Yates' life. She may be the only player in this who has a conscious and we all know what happens to that type of Dim.

The language limitations of the Left are truly appalling. Everything they dislike is either fascist, racist, Nazi, or any one of those terms which they foolishly imagine will convince someone of another's evil. But their term-slinging only proves their ignorance of what these insults actually mean. They are among the most ignorant of educated people and as such they repeatedly demonstrate our educational system's failure.

Thank you, Paul Mirengoff, for this timely article. Here's what I and many others think about Herr Ornstein. We have been silently 'fuming, seething - chilled' because of what 'the left' in this country consisting of Ornstein and his America-hating bunch have cooked up and attempted to shove down our throats. Our fervent hope is that there are more of us than them. Our unending gratitude goes to those 'brave and honest and persistent enough' to call them out for their lies, corruption, illegalities and just plain nastiness. Can't say it enough; my eternal thanks go to all those who have fought to make public this corruption and injustice - thankfully, too many to name here. Keep it going, AG Barr - we deserve the truth - and justice.

This Ornstein fellow, who ever he is, needs to use a different word than 'fascist' apparently he doesn't know the meaning of the word and it doesn't apply here. Maybe Ornstein has a fixation with European dictators of WWII but he sure shows his ignorance here.

The prosecution and Flynn's former lawyers cooked up a secret deal against the interests of the client. That has gotten lawyers sent to prison before, along with disbarment. Getting any kind of testimony under false pretenses like they did is extortion, and that should not ever be allowed in court. The prosecutors in this case were railroading an innocent man, all in an effort to get Trump. How is that not political or legally wrong?
The comment about this tainting the jury pool is probably right on the mark. This is willful tainting by the NYT. I have to say one thing, that given how the media has been behavior the past three years, I completely understand why Lincoln did what he did regarding the media of his era. They were evil then, and just as evil now.

The real fascists in our nation are the party of the left and its extreme appendages. Who create lies and lying stories in an attempt to destroy its opponents. Who transgress the constitution on a regular basis to defeat the protections that it accords to us the citizens and the base of political power in our nation. Who arrests people for the practice of our 1st amendment rights of orderly protest of state governments who are ignoring the constitution and engaging in tyrannical acts and actions.

I have no idea who Norman Ornstein is, I saw no mention in my quick scan of the article who he is, I suppose I am expected to 'just know' . Based on his comment on Barr, I can judge that Mr. Ornstein is a dangerous and evil person, opposed to the rule of law.
AG Barr did exactly as should have been done.

Am guessing this is more about giving Billy a taste of the bile that will come from every angle should he decide to go after Conspirator #1, Barry Soetoro.

Flynn’s former lawyers who apparently counseled Flynn to plead guilty to a bogus charge are in the same DC law firm as as President Obama’s self described “Wing Man”, Eric Holder!
