Gavin Newsom, governor of the “nation-state” of California, is raising what he calls an “army” of 20,000 government employees who will trace the spread of coronavirus across the state. Those found guilty, or rather, infected, are likely to run into an uncomfortable change in their lives.
In Ventura County, northwest of Los Angeles, a pilot program was launched this week to trace infections and exposure, according to County Health Director Dr. Robert Levin.
When infected persons are found, he said, they are “immediately isolated.”
As more people are tested, Levin continued, “we will find more and more people who have

If this is true, heaven help us. It will begin a war within the U.S. I hope Newsom does not go down that road. It is very dangerous.

And don't forget the yellow COVID-19 patch that those who are infected must wear.

America isn't quite ready to accept a hop into a cattle car for a ride to the delousing showers because a quarter of us will shoot back. A a quarter of us would willingly comply, ten percent of us are willing to do the governments bidding and point the guns at us, while forty percent look on in bewilderment.
With that disclaimer out of the way, if we were to have another Stalin or Hitler on our hands what would that look like and how different do the actions of Newsom appear to be? Does anybody think that Hitler or Stalin or Mao rose to power with a platform of the extermination millions of people, tens of millions of people? Might that final leap to brutality be something that evolves in the mind of the power hungry as they feed on incremental steps in power they grab? When should we be alarmed how long dare we wait to begin to contemplate taking action? In my mind one step over the constitutional boundary is too far, where else do you draw the line without waiting too long?
I have been greatly alarmed since we tossed out the 4th and 5th amendment as long as it was in the name of the "drug war." How'd that "Patriot Act" work out for you?

This is why the supposed reopening of Oregon is going to be tepid. People are still so afraid of going into places, thanks to all the data mining the Governor wants to happen. I hope businesses just ignore a lot of this nonsense and go about using commonsense as always.

So these 20,000 “checkers” will be coming into contact daily with infected citizens, spending time in their homes, etc and then going on to subsequent sites and possibly passing the virus along. Or do we need 20,000 because they can only make one visit a day before going home and burning their clothes?

Contact tracing can be effective if launched at or near the time of "patient zero" i.e. the first known case. For example, the American doctor who returned from Africa with a case of Ebola.
With millions of Americans infected with or recovering from the Wuhan virus, contact tracing is useless from an epidemiologic standpoint. Leftists love it because it provides cover for hiring an army of public employees who will surveille the population and provide valuable intelligence for winning elections and controlling the proles.

Newsom is going off the rails. It just took him a little longer than Whitmer, Wolf, Northam and Pritzker.

First, when did the State hire 20,000 new employees?
Or, are they current employees doing a job they weren't hired to do.
My guess on what the true intent is, they are canvassing for who is at what address, and then they are able to harvest those ballots in the upcoming election.
I heard reports of people going door-to-door in early 2018 under the guise of being a contractor asking if they'd want solar panels, or a new room addition, and other things.
My sense, they were canvassing for election purposes, and ascertaining who was home, what they looked like, etc... Then, compare to who is registered, and if they were active voters or not.
And, lo and behold, 7 House seats flipped AFTER the election date closed, and it was apparent that none of those 7 Democrats seemed the list bit concerned they were going to lose.
In California, you can request a ballot be sent to any address you'd like, it does not have to go to your registration address.
Just think of how many ballots you can "harvest" by using a name and address of someone who you've identified as registered, but not active voter, and cast a ballot for them?
