If there were ever a time that the American people needed credible national journalism, it is now, during this awful coronavirus pandemic.
Now tens of millions of Americans are out of work, tens of thousands have died, the people are overwhelmed by conflicting and dueling scientific models of the virus, tribal politics shapes coverage.
Two stories out of Washington, the narratives shaped by the Washington Beltway media establishment, illustrate the break. They sit there as the coronavirus consumes the news cycle.
One is the incredible double standard in the treatment of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden over claims of sexual assault.

As long as the democrats control the media, it will ever be so.

If it weren’t for double standards, the Fake News Enemedia would have no standards at all!

Curiosity has nothing to do with the lack of articles about General Flynn. The mainstream media are part of the propaganda arm of the Democratic National Committee. They avoid reporting stories that don't fit the Democrat narrative or that could embarrass the party. Credible national journalism has not existed for decades.

Well, now I've found one good thing to come out of Chicago.
One.

It's only a double standard in the context of our standards. When all you stand for demolishing the constitutional republic based on unalienable God given rights and replacing it with Godless communism, suddenly their behavior becomes extraordinarily consistent.
Double standards and hypocrisy do more to define true motives than they do to call out inconsistencies in incorrectly presumed or projected motives.

We are not interested in other people's rights. Only in winning the next election. The people already knew that. Thanks for admitting it.

Follow the money. That's all you have to do. Given the choices of two narratives which are to like Trump or to hate Trump, which narrative does the msm think enriches them the most? Answer - Hate Trump, of course.
How do we break away from an irresponsible msm at this stage and replace it with a more responsible alternative msm? The answer to that question requires us to fix the problem at the source. Restore our indoctrination centers to for-real institutions of learning. There is no other option. How do we restore them to the institutions of learning that we need so desperately? Answer - get level-minded people on the school boards instead of union-backed surrogates. Eliminate the union monopoly for teachers. Eliminate the federal Department of Education. Eliminate the worthless government mandates and let the teachers teach instead of running them into the ground with these 16-hour workdays half of which is spent verifying conformance to unnecessary federal mandates.

Needing and getting credible national journalism are separated by a wide gulf that is determined by the consumer. Viewers, readers, listeners...they are the market, and their presence is what provides the wherewithal to continue broadcasting or printing "The News".
With that in mind, with newspapers and magazines selling for cutrate prices, down to $1, where are the middle-of-the-road and conservative moguls buying them? Why is FoxNews morphing into a moderate MSNBC? Honestly, who is the "most trusted newsperson in America" today? Why?

Calling the national media 'mainstream ' confers too much legitimacy on them. They're more like the DPD (Democrat Propaganda Dept.).

Imagine what the outcry would be if a democrat was set up, railroaded and falsely maneuvered and blackmailed by the FBI. Oh wait, democrats are always declared innocent up front by their peers and by the media so they never get that far.

Flynn's quick guilty plea accounted for much of the lack of attention by the media.
that is the reality of the news.

Blame Dan Rather, Dustin Hoffman and Robert Redford for the sorry state of non-journalism in America today.
I would have referenced Woodward and Bernstein except they weren't the ones who popularized the so called "investigative" journalism talked about in today's non-journalism schools. For his part, Dan Rather is the godfather of rude, gotcha press conference questions. The only hitch in my theory is that REAL investigative journalism seems to be too much trouble for today's young non-journalists. They all bathe in opinion. Facts only apply if they can be easily obtained. And above all, UBER ALLES - - The Narrative (updated daily by the DNC.) Makes one want to puke.

What alternative network of news is there?
If you don’t like the narrative of the tv enemedia of abc/nbc/cbs where do you turn to?
Where’s OUR network of truth?
Why do THEY dominate the airwaves?
Why is conservative network news
so ABSENT?
Why doesn’t the GOP fight back?
How did this happen?
Why aren’t we fixing this?
Why aren’t we competing with these networks?
