On Wednesday, Democrat State Rep. Vernon Jones of Georgia said he would be resigning from his post effective April 22 after allegedly receiving attacks and harassment from fellow Democrats for publicly endorsing President Donald Trump, a Republican, in his 2020 reelection bid.
However, by Thursday, Rep. Jones said that a swell of support made him change his tune, telling the public he will not be “bullied” into resignation by the Left.
“Yesterday, I announced my intentions to resign from my office,” he wrote, captioning a video posted to Twitter. “But shortly thereafter, the outpour of support I received was too great for me to ignore.
They let him do that or he didn't complete the paperwork ? He has become public enemy number one in his state.

He'll get a lot of support from Republicans, I'll bet. And probably a bunch of others who have left the Dem plantation.

We have a two-party system and I believe that to be a good thing. It is valuable to our nation to have leaders who think of their constituents first, and of the responsibilities that come with being a leader, and the burdens we all must bear in order to reap what is best for our Nation as a whole. It is no easy task and I cannot imagine what it's like to face some of the battles they do. Good on this Dem Rep for having the stones to speak his convictions, knowing he'd face a storm. I think he threw in the towel more in disgust than discourage and I'm glad he received even stronger support from the public in response. If he's true to his word, he'll earn respect and votes for integrity from the Pubs. As it should be.

I wish Vernon Jones would seek higher office and "tip over" Hank Johnson's House seat.

“But little did I know that I would receive such a barrage of attacks and name calling by the far-Left and the Democratic Party.”
Sure you did, Mr. Jones. Come on!
"I intend to help the Democrat Party get rid of its bigotry against Black people that are independent and conservative.”
You can start with the black field hands in your demon party and right there in Georgia; they are the worst against black conservatives.
Blexit, please call State Rep Vernon Jones, ASAP!

Mr. Jones is getting a big fat dose of what it means to be a Democrat. You’re not allowed off the reservation. I wish him well.

The party of Don't Break Our Protocol.
How dare you give any republican credit for anything good. It is against our party rules.
It only matters what the people can be made to believe from the mouths of us Marxist Communist democrats, and that does not include acknowledging anything positive or good from anyone other than one of our Marxist Communist democrat comrades.
Everything we do most be made to sound like we love our slaves, er, constituents, and we elite leadership know what's best for them.

I think that given the behavior of Pelosi and her thuggish minions, many more democrats than we realize are going to jump ship come November. Most people are honest, and to watch Nancy Antoinette and her goons harass and try to railroad an innocent man because Hillary didn't win strikes most of us as being unacceptable behavior, especially in our elected officials. I am hoping that a great many of democrats get booted this year, enough to make them the minority in both houses and everywhere we can elect republicans. Democrats know they have to keep their heads down in the run up to the voting, so I don't expect to hear too much from democrats. Just quiet curiosity when it comes to attending his rallies.

Rep. Jones might consider the precedent set by Phil Gramm of Texas. He saw early that the Democrat Party of the past was dissolving into a liberal/progressive quagmire intending to sink our Republic.
Gramm, then a U.S. Representative switched to the Republican Party. He later ran for Senator and Texas was well represented by Gramm in both capacities.
Another political "reformed drunk" was a Democrat, leader of a labor union, etc., and ended up as one of the nations most beloved presidents.. Ronald Reagan

If what Mr. Jones says about the makeup of support for him continuing in his position, that being all ages, races and political persuasions, then the Democrat party truly is in deep deep trouble. Let us pray this is true.

We should all start a letter-writing campaign and a telephone call campaign urging all democrats to switch to the Republican Party of truth and honesty!
Welcome them to our side!
Especially those who have stubborn Democrat relatives!

Public enemy number one? Just shows you the Democrats will kill you politically if you don't comply with their current policies. Socialist will politically kill you in this country, other socialist countries just kill you. Rep. Jones has courage to fight for the people, not for the party.
