A Florida school district is cracking down on its free school meal program after it caught parents selling the food online.
Staff at Hillsborough County Public Schools have now installed a tracker on the meals to ensure parents are not cheating the system, WFLA reported.
Several sites ran out of food at the meal pickup last week, prompting officials to get to the bottom of the shortage.
District officials found parents selling the food online and parents who had the food stockpiled in their cars.
“We had some individuals who made undesired behaviors last week,

Goobermint schools need to focus on teaching the 3Rs. (Yeah, I know... not gonna happen.) It's the parents' job to feed their kids... breakfast lunch and dinner.

Failures never fail in the new America. Not only did the rats force working people to pay failures not to work, but they were also forced to pay failures health care, housing, food and now extra food for their kids. What a perversion of the work ethic. A concept spit on by rats at every level of government. Rats and every other party member in the halls of power.

"Undesired behaviors?" How about THEFT?
Models in the illustration have white hands. How realistic is that in this atmosphere of diverse commercials?

"Made undesirable behaviors"? Where, in auto shop? If the superintendent talks like this, no wonder the district is failing.

FTA: Parents now have to provide their child’s name and school ID number before they can pick up food, and they are not allowed to pick up more than once.
No one thought of doing this from the start? I don't suppose the parents who were caught cheating have been billed for the extra meals they stole and banned from the program.

There are so many feed the children programs sponsored by the Government (both local and Federal) that could feed one child six times a day.

You think this is bad, wait until school districts try to recover all those computers they had to give out.

And of course there won't be any fraud in the upcoming vote-by-mail schemes Dems are proposing. People are honest, right?

Just buy them a jug of peanut butter and a loaf of bread.
Then teach the parents how to spread the peanut butter just we we had when we were kids.
No need to mooch off the tax payers.

Who would buy food online from random people? I thought people hated cafeteria food anyways. Trackers on slop, I mean meals! Seriously?

If the parents are being granted so-called “Food Stamps” to feed their children, why do those children also need three meals a day “free” from the public schools?
It looks like there is a lot of Government provided food double dipping going on, with the American taxpayers actually paying the freight, and that certain public schools are being used as babysitting services and “free” food outlets for a lot of children. If it is happening in that school district you can safely bet that the same thing is occurring all over. You have to wonder what the parents are doing with the food stamps, like maybe selling them for 50 cents on the dollar?

Instead of installing trackers, why not just end the program and tell parents to do what parents used to do before 1964 - feed their own kids.

The main reason these kids get free meals in the first place is because their worthless parents aren't spending the welfare they get from the government on food for their kids.

"Undesirable behaviors"...is almost as bad as the sappy, extremely overused, "Unacceptable." Unacceptable is going to frighten and stop a thief, bank robber, murderer? Please, give me a massive break.

They were also caught going from one school to another and had them in the back seat. If they are getting hundreds of dollars in food assistance, why do they need this? Really sick of the same old same old cheating. Doncha know food is being delivered to the ghetto for those disadvantaged citizens? One city had employees donating supplies and all of it going to one group. You have no idea just how much they are getting and getting it delivered to their door.
