Prime Minister Boris Johnson has left hospital after being treated for coronavirus, but will not immediately return to work, Downing Street says. Mr Johnson, 55, was taken to St Thomas' hospital, in London, on Sunday - 10 days after testing positive for the virus.
He had three nights in intensive care before returning to a ward on Thursday. Downing Street said the PM would continue his recovery at his country residence, Chequers. "On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas' for the brilliant care he

Great news. And on Easter, he returns from the hospital. I have no idea if Mr. Johnson is Christian, but perhaps it is a sign.

boris Johnson was put on oxygen in ICU, bur was not put on a respirator. that may have saved his life.
the conclusion of researchers when this is all over, may be that respirators may have made things worse for some patients.

What was used to treat him?

"Reporters" truly are just that these days. Parrots repeating what they are told to report.
No investigative journalism is going on in 2020 at all!
No one is trying to find out if he was given the very effective drug cocktail of Z-pack with hydroxychloroquine.
My guess is that that is precisely what turned him around, but we are left guessing because the press wants to promote panic, not cure.

I wonder if Boris was given Hydroxychloroquine? The story doesn't mention it but, then again, the media is now against it so they probably wouldn't.

Whatever happened to Tom Hanks? Is he dead yet? Or his wife? Prince Albert of Monaco? Prince Charles? Kathy Griffin...or wait, she's on the C-List. How many other celebrity deathwatches are still on-going?

Wonder what Mr. Johnson feels toward the Communist Chinese Government? Will he support Trump in harsh treatment of the Chicoms who put this festering plague on the world?

I too am interested in hearing what he was given in the way of medication. But it will have to come from him. His medical care staff could not reveal that to reporters or anyone else.
As for his being given oxygen, that just means his measured oxygen was low. It is not uncommon to get that in hospital. His lung function was good enough that there was no need for intubation and ventilator.

I think that it is interesting that Boris is not returning to work. That suggests to me that he is not really recovered, just that they are confident that he will not need ICU again, or that arrangements have been made for the equivalent of ICU in his country residence. Until he actually returns to work, I will remain skeptical, but hopeful about his recovery.

Mr. Johnson is probalby a workaholic. I bet this isn't why he eventually got so sick....refusing to take the needed down time and just "bulling through".
Probably after realizing that 'being a tough guy' didn't work the first time, he has decided to take the docs' advice this time and recuperate properly.

Glad Boris is discharged. The hospital is probably the most dangerous place to be!
