Former congressman and Hawaii governor Neil Abercrombie, the Hawaii Tribune-Herald reports, has called for Democrat presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard to resign “the sooner the better” following her vote of “present” on the articles of impeachment against President Trump.
Abercombie is co-chair for the campaign of Kai Kahele, a Democrat running against Gabbard, and the former governor cited Gabbard’s missing votes “on everything” as the reason for his resignation call. On the other hand, fallout from the call has focused on Gabbard’s impeachment stand.
“Throughout my life, whether through serving in the military or in Congress, I’ve always worked to do what is in the best interests of our country,”

The Silly Samoan doesn't understand how being neutral is worthless, although under certain conditions may be acceptable - a spat between one's parents, for example - or a choice of dinner wine - but a member of a legislative body is there to vote.
Arlen Specter, Pennsylvania's burden to bear, tried the neutral stuff in the Dollar Bill Clinton trial. Arlen, dishonest to the end, voted 'not proven,' which was his attempt to vote present. *Arlen switched parties, and lost a dimocrat primary.) Barack Obola voted 'present' as an Illinois state senator, a lot. Barack got away with it.
You are Hawaiian toast, Tulsi. But you are still a cutie. And if you were more trustworthy, you might find a position during DJT's second term, or with President Pence's first term in 2025. I wish you well, and waggle my fingers, using that peculiar Hawaiian gesture.

I have serious doubts about the mental capacity and sound judgement of anyone who supported Bernie.

She is just way too flighty and unstable IMO. I know she is not as controllable by the DNC as they want, but so far I haven't seen anything different from what Obama did while in congress or his state legislature. Getting tired of waiting for the so called evidence the democrats claim to have. Put it up Kiddies or go back to the kid's corner where you belong.

She showed not guts, should have voted no.
I worry they are setting her up for third part run to take votes from Trump.

Tulsi is the best of a bad bunch.
She is too Dem for my taste, but too honest for them.
The Democrats are so filled with hate they cannot accept anyone who isn't also filled with it.

It begs the question. Resign from what? What public or private office is she holding? Mouth foaming kooks.

I thought Tulsi already decided not to run for reelection. Hawaii dems had already pulled out the long knives against her before she voted Present. Wasn't there some other guy who spends a lot of time there that also used to vote Present a lot?

It's called a vote for a reason. Democrats are bound by their betters to vote democrat on everything no matter what their personal opinion is. Imagine if government worked like it was supposed to, they would not all collectively be labeled as stupid. Gabbard is the most intelligent specimen in the party and that naturally makes her a target. It's seniority that counts, not brains.

It will be interesting to see how Tulsi Gabbard does in the polls after voting 'present'. My guess is it won't have any effect whatsoever. There are no moderates in the top tier of candidates, and it is doubtful that Gabbard really is a moderate. Remember, all the democrats marched in lock step with Obama for 8 long years, and still appear to be following his direction now even though Obama is gone.

If you don’t march in locked arm high kick boot sole pavement slapping goose Step with the Party you are targeted for neutralization. She is a target of the party power players and callers just like McConnell Rove and McCarty targets grass roots conservatives that won’t roll over to their neo- progressivism.

The obamameister pulled this same 'present' crapola in the Senate as I recall...didn't want to be tied to anything...

Amen to #1. Tulsi is cute, an officer in the NG, and is a surfer girl. That's good enough for a state steeped in tribal politics and dependent on the tourism industry and the military.

Next democrat debate all the attendees should appear in swim suits we'll see who wins that.
Tulsi Gabbard is toast she scares other democrats just by appearing to think on her own and the low brow ignorant idiots on the left can't allow that. I'm not impressed with Gabbard and wouldn't offer her sanctuary in the Republican Party because if she had the makings of a conservative she wouldn't be a democrat. Tulsi will just have to remain adrift on her own.

She'd be the best looking RINO in the Republican party, if she switched. But she'd still be a RINO!

It doesn't take much courage to vote "Present" at a time when you know the votes are already there for Impeachment. There could have been more Dems doing the same and SanFranNan would still have been safe. What's amazing was how Dems in the swing districts went total "Jonestown" and drank the Impeachment Kool-Aid.

The only misguided Patriot in the Democratic Swamp. If she sticks with the same party after being insulted and grossly hated by the democrats and the liberal creatures, then, she's a certified moron.

If Ms. Gabbard actually had the principles she claims to have, she would: 1. Switch parties 2. Work to expose the criminality now infecting every aspect of the Democrat Party 3. Support and campaign for President Trump's re-election. But she's not doing any of that.
