The day after the United Nations voted to recognize the People’s Republic of China, then–California Governor Ronald Reagan phoned President Richard Nixon at the White House and vented his frustration at the delegates who had sided against the United States. “Last night, I tell you, to watch that thing on television as I did,” Reagan said. “Yeah,” Nixon interjected. Reagan forged ahead with his complaint: “To see those, those monkeys from those African countries—damn them, they’re still uncomfortable wearing shoes!” Nixon gave a huge laugh. Hey, Naftali. Any articles forthcoming about what presidents Wilson, FDR, Kennedy, and Lyndon Johnson said in private about the black community? Yeah. I didn't think so.

What about Lyndon Baines Johnson:
These Negroes, they’re getting pretty uppity these days and that’s a problem for us since they’ve got something now they never had before, the political pull to back up their uppityness. Now we’ve got to do something about this, we’ve got to give them a little something, just enough to quiet them down, not enough to make a difference. For if we don’t move at all, then their allies will line up against us and there’ll be no way of stopping them, we’ll lose the filibuster and there’ll be no way of putting a brake on all sorts of wild legislation. It’ll be Reconstruction all over again.

Wow just wow, digging up two presidents who won by landslides for a conservation almost 50 years ago to smear the current (who actually hasn't actually made any racial comments)
The reek of desperation is getting strong.

While we are at it, why don't we see what Margaret Sanger and the hero of a million leftist t-shirts (Che Guevara) wrote about black people. Also, Karl Marx had some choice words about the Irish.

Reagan was speaking of his co-star in the movie "Bedtime for Bonzo." Not to be mistaken for Obozo in his "mom jeans".

The author is a dope.
If the author is a women, i am a sexist anti-feminist.
If a queer, i am a homophobic.
If a transvestite, i have unresolved sexual issues.
If a black,i am a racist.
If a ... well, you get the idea.
Meanwhile, i am still correct that the author is a dope.

This was back when Archie Bunker was still in syndication. So yeah....just about everyone talked and thought that way. Anyone that denies that is either a saint or lying.

Ronald Reagan was drawing a caricature of his country's enemies just as we did of Germany and Japan in WWII. No more no less.
Why should the mighty United States of America bear restraints inflicted from tiny nations of the world which are not even democracies nor do they champion freedoms in their own borders, much less the world.
Reagan had the wrong sentiment, wrong words.

We all know white men can't jump or dance ... but we sure can fight. It was thought to be a private conversation where it was safe to express frustration. Let the those who have never told a joke or listened to one about others, who have not said things in anger about other cultures, etc. write an article in a racist rag. This stuff is getting stupid beyond all measure boring. FTA: Racist venting is still racist. Give me a break. Mommy he called me a bad name. Are they really that weak?

And how are things going in Africa now that they’ve had 50-60 years of black rule? Are things better for black South Africans and black Rhodesians?
