After two years of investigation, Robert Mueller on Wednesday gave his first public statement since the inception of the special counsel’s office.
Mueller’s remarks, which lasted less than 10 minutes and entertained no questions, offered no new substantive information apart from the announcement that the office was formally closing and that Mueller would be resigning from the Justice Department. The statement was carefully designed to give the mainstream media and Democrats in Congress an excuse to continue calling for an investigation and potential impeachment of the president. It also let Mueller portray himself as an unbiased and objective public servant

FTA:
Later in the statement, Mueller claims that his office was partially “guided by principles of fairness” and that “it would be unfair to potentially accuse somebody of a crime when there can be no court resolution of the actual charge.” His hesitance in this part of the statement may be indicative that he knows just how insincere this claim is.
Because what Mueller doesn’t acknowledge is that it is far more unfair to say something like “if we were confident that the President clearly did not commit a crime, we would say so” and then repeat that statement with an ominous stare after the attorney general makes the determination that there is clearly not enough evidence to prosecute.
Mueller & Co, masters of innuendo, laid IEDs galore in this “statement” after which he said “no questions”. There must now be questions. Mueller needs to be subpoenaed and asked lots of questions. For example, what was the business about “confidence”? A key word he used. It is not a legal term..

What you saw yesterday was Mueller reading a carefully prepared statement that was the result of negotiations with Nadler et.all.
Mueller read that as part of a deal where he did not have to Testify.

Mueller is a slime ball...always has been and always will. He thinks he can run away and hide. Subpoena him and haul his a-- in to testify. Let's see if this "great" lawman ignores the subpoena, and if he does, what will the Dems do about it!

Mueller probably didn't really have anything to do with the investigation. I'll bet that this was actually the Weismann investigation but that slimeball needed a front man. Mueller probably can't answer because he wasn't involved much.

The dems would have extended the investigation and continued to pursue impeachment of Donald Trump no matter what Mueller did. They've got nothing else.

Big deal that the press weren't allowed to ask their questions of Herr Mueller. You know, like "Mr. Mueller, could you tell us more about how repulsive a creature that cretin Donald Trump is? And his family, including his pre-teen son?

There is another issue here. Both Rosenstein and Mueller were involved in Uranium One. Mueller had a meeting a day before Rod Ro appointed Mueller to Special Counsel. The meeting was with Trump. It wouldn't surprise me if Trump set him straight with knowledge and proof of the U1 deal. All of this has been part of the plan. It's been said over the past year, "if Mueller is good then Rod Ro is good". They both left at the same time and that last photo op with Barr, Rod Ro looked like a deer staring into headlights. Likewise, Mueller was very nervous not really looking at the audience. If you watched Mueller before he knows how to speak on his feet. Almost looked like his speech the other day was just handed to him at the last minute. Go back and listen to his breathing, stumbling, and lack of eye contact. Trump owned the minute.

Robert Mueller belongs in jail. As FBI director, he authorized numerous "FBI Contractors" illegal access to the telephone calls and messages of the political opposition. The reason Comey hacked the special prosecutor system and Rosenstein appointed Mueller was to cover up this illegal spying by the Obama administration. This is the biggest government scandal since Teapot Dome. Obama weaponized first the IRS and then the CIA and FBI against his political rivals. They have gotten away with it so far. They need to be in jail so no one in the future tries this again. If not, we will shortly go the way of the Roman Republic. This was tyranny. It cannot stand. Comey, Rosenstein, and Mueller need long stretches in prison for their treason against the Constitution and the American government. Obama will probably not join them because of the tace card, but it is almost certain he approved and monitored the entire process. Maybe they can charge Valerie Jarret, Obama's Rasputin.

Forget Mueller. To have him testify only drags this out further. Barr should step up to the mic and confirm that it is 'case closed'. As per the American legal standards, the Special Counsel does not have sufficient evidence to indict or prosecute a case and therefore, based on the American legal system, DJT is innocent.

Well you can bet that Mueller does not want to testify in public because he knows that he will be questioned by Republicans who no doubt will immediately ask Mueller, based upon evidence known to them, when Mueller determined that there was no “collusion” between President Trump and Russians to steal the election from Hillary Clinton? That date is important because if Mueller was on the up and up he would have stopped investigating Trump and his team upon that determination.
Since Mueller obviously kept his Investigation going after that, along with the fact that his entire legal team was made up of Clinton supporters, it is clear that was done to goad Trump into making statements and taking actions so that this team would have have a way to call for Trump’s impeachment for obstruction of justice. That’s not the way the American justice system is supposed to work. Mueller’s public statement yesterday was the last inning in that ball game.
Now watch as the congressional Democrats do everything they can to keep Mueller from publicly testifying.
There is no requirement in US law that targets of investigations be exonerated by prosecutors. The job of a prosecutor is to charge a target with a crime or leave that person alone. Mueller was actually in violation of DOJ policy when he gave his statement yesterday, as federal prosecutors are not supposed to comment or give opinions about former targets of their investigations who are not charged or indicted. Clearly Mueller is a “deep state” top level bureaucratic apparachek allied with the liberal Democrats with who he has conducted DC business for decades. As such Trump running the federal government is those apparachek’s worst nightmare.
