When the Mueller Report was released on April 18th, most commentators focused on the “explosive” factual allegations. But other than the shocking revelation that the President once used an expletive in private, very few of those facts were novel; most were leaked long ago. At the end of Volume II of the Mueller Report, however, there were 20 pages of genuinely new material. There, the former FBI director turned Special Counsel Robert Mueller defended his “Application of Obstruction-Of-Justice Statutes To The President.”

Wow! This is a great article, and one that my poor, confused, overly-taxed-trying-to-understand-this-mess brain could follow. Thanks, OP.

Informative.
Only issue is, facts don´t matter to the democrat party. They rely on emotion and a vociferous appetite for chicken! Oops, I mean power.
They will never stop. They may have lost the chess game, but they will sit at the table and whine until the winner leaves.
MAGA!!! KAG!!! We are paying these congress critters and they are wasting our money. Barr or not, we must demand they stop!

Agree with #1. Must Read. It´s a well reasoned theory and if true or not it does explain the chess board and strategies that ensued. Might be one of the most consequential chess games every played.

If Mueller´s reading of the obstruction-of-justice statute were accurate (and I cannot imagine it is), then how would you ever be able to speak your mind? Anything and everything you say could be construed as obstruction of justice. If you don´t willingly bend over and take any and every legal probe, you would be guilty of obstructing justice. That´s ridiculous. The government could accuse you of something and you couldn´t defend yourself.

Since Wiseman was Mueller´s top guy with whom he had previously worked, and Wiseman was privy to the texting indicating that there was no there there regarding collusion then hasn´t the entire two year investigation been an injustice, an obstruction of our very government and transition of power?

FTA: Barr´s interpretation of § 1512(c)(2) – which was far more textually and constitutionally sound – would have made it almost impossible for Mueller to justify investigating Trump for obstruction of justice.
If Barr hadn´t taken over as AG, Mueller could have gone on through Trump´s presidency which is exactly what they wanted to do showing Mueller was not independent.

I find agreement with #6 and #7. And I hope to remember the lesson learned about 18 U.S. Code §?1512. Lesson 1: It has nothing whatever to do with President Trump.
Lesson 2: It has everything to do with Hillary Clinton. May it hit the Cankles in the ankles.

Excellent article.
The timing of Sessions´ ouster makes sense in this context. Still unanswered: Why did Sessions recuse himself from the beginning when most of the other participants, Rosenstein, even Mueller, were even more conflicted?
When you are able to convert a pawn into a queen, you are likely going to win the game. Sessions into Barr - a winning move.

Very informative.
In hindsight it was very clear that Mueller’s REAL goal was to prod Trump into doing something that could be interpreted as obstruction. So much for Mr. Upstanding Boyscout in search of the truth.
As suspected by us in the VRWC, his real goal was to find something, ANYTHING, that Trump did that could be used to remove him from office.
In the rest of the legal world this would be known as entrapment. But they have (once again) underestimated POTUS’ shrewdness.
In the words of Flounder from Animal House; “Oh boy, is this GREAT!”

I don´t see how anyone could say this is not how it came to be. Barr ended the circus, period.

Excellent article and legal analysis.
So, wondering how many of the Clapper, Brennan, Comey, Page, Stjrok, Sen. Warner, Bull Schiff, and dozens of others could be charged with this statute?
And, possibly, those who smashed and took SIM cards out of the phones demanded from Hillary and her associates? Clear intent and obstruction since was malicious act, particularly since those phones were likely issued with the SIM card, thus, part of the phone they used.

With their king completely surrounded, the Democrats picked him up and jumped over the "checker" piece, removing it from the board.
They will continue to change the game, until their king and all who supported him are finally brought to justice.

Wow. Great article, great reasoning. Bill Barr was an excellent choice for AG. Kudos to Jay Sekulow and others on Trump´s legal team. A Must Read for sure! Bravo!

Fascinating analysis. The author´s theory about why Barr was chosen is quite plausible.
I had never heard of Barr before this, but I must say, he is a great AG (and the Democrats´ worst nightmare).

One of my best friends is married to a hard left liberal. I love her to death, but I can make her physically shake with two sentences. LOL! We don´t discuss politics when together twice a year. They live out of state... She is RAW emotion!

Use 1512 against Mueller and Weissman. They knew immediately that there was no collusion and obstructed by keeping this sham going, preventing the real search for truth and justice
