RABAT - Pope Francis told Morocco’s tiny Catholic community on Sunday their role in the predominantly Muslim country was not to covert their neighbors but live in brotherhood with all other faiths. Francis has used his two-day trip to stress inter-faith dialogue. He has also backed Moroccan King Mohammed VI’s efforts to spread a form of Islam that promotes inter-religious dialogue and rejects violence in God’s name. (Snip) Conservative Catholics have frequently criticized the pope’s position against organized or aggressive recruiting of potential converts. “The Church grows not through proselytism but by attraction,” Francis said to applause.

So "Can´t we just all get along" is now the Catholic creed?

Morocco is probably a good place to practice conversion by leading an exemplary life.
If the world hasn´t noticed, Muslims are not the most tolerant of people.

There are numerous ways to make disciples of all nations. In some nations, an exemplary life converts more unbelievers than donating your head to an unnoticed martyrdom.
It´s the Holy Spirit who does the conversion, not the means you personally choose to assist.

What a coincidence...nor does it seem to be this Pope´s mission either. Compared say, to climate change, open borders, and Marxism.

I agree with this statement from the Pope, from the article, "The Church grows not through proselytism but by attraction".

Has anyone checked this guy´s head for a nice "666" tattoo?!?!?!?
Even though I am not Catholic, I have always respected and liked every pope in my life time. But this man is just doing everything he can to help destroy Christianity!!! He needs to retire now and let a real Catholic be pope again!!!!!

I may be a bit too charitable here, but I think the Peter Principle is in play with this guy.

‘Go out and preach, if necessary, use words’
St. Frances of Assisi
But this pope is a Marxist but I don’t think he meant it the way St. Francis did.

He is somewhat right but his message is horribly wrong. There is only one path to salvation. Christ said ´I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life.´ Mohammed and his deceiving idea of God is NOT. People are free to choose - but Christ´s followers are not. They, if true believers, are not permitted to pander to other faiths as if okay. This pope is right when he states that proselytizing isn´t our job. But I suspect Francis doesn´t really believe that only through Christ can one be saved.

He may well have saved a lot of Catholic lives. People like me just get annoyed at people trying to convert me. Moslems kill them.

Pope Francisco has been a disaster for all Christians, but especially Catholics. Marx over everything is the policy of el Papa Peronista. Note that Global Warming is not caused by humans and it is a hoax since baby it’s cold outside. He should be looking after the store and rooting out the homoheresy detailed in the Archbishop Viganò testimony. The Pope should also let Catholics kiss his ring instead of withdrawing prematurely.

The Bible says Christians are to spread the gospel message. That is how much Europe (and South America) became Catholic.

I have known people who converted by them seeing and admiring happy families. I have seen people turned away by harsh judging by folks who disapprove of every denomination save their own.
