Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, who pleaded guilty in December 2017 to making false statements to the FBI regarding his contact with Russian officials and business dealings with Turkey, is facing millions in legal bills, according to a report. ABC News, citing a source close to Flynn, says President Donald Trump’s formal national security adviser has amassed legal fees of around $5 million. ABC News reports: The hefty legal bill has been amassed despite his December 2017 guilty plea — the first in the Russia investigation — and providing what special counsel Robert Mueller described as “substantial assistance” in numerous investigations.

I think Hillary and the DNC should cover all the bills from this witch hunt. She has plenty of millions gained from illegal activities. Prosecute her, fine her the cost of the investigation plus damages to the many charged, and lock her up!

What are his ´benevolent´ attorneys charging him $1000/hr, 2000/hr? Why would I want to contribute to bail out the DC bloodsuckers that are just part of the DC hustle? Maybe he should allow his parasitic attorneys oppty to sue Comey, et al for abuse of official position and get them to pay legal costs.

OK RNC the Mueller report is out, so start a fundraiser to pay the legal bills for all....after all they were all republicans. Mueller must have a rule not to indict a democrat.

The legal costs alone exceed the value of the alleged crime. Which is why I have been saying for years that justice is reserved for the wealthy and well connected. Without those, Flynn would have been buried under the prison. As it is, he was still shafted.
How many people plead guilty or no contest for no other reason than they cant afford to defend themselves? Quite possibly a major reason that minorities are disproportionately sent to prison.
Justice has become a travesty in the US. I dont trust the investigators, prosecutors, defense attorneys, judges or juries.

Wow...$5 million for a losing legal defense. I think Flynn should ask for a refund. Imagine how much it would have cost if he had good lawyers?
Scum, bottom-feeding Herr Mueller should surrender his law license..

I hope President Trump will pardon him and Manafort too. I wonder how on earth did Flynn make 3-stars in the Army.

General, sue one of the pigs who came after you or a TV station! Or as some have suggested Go Fund Me might be able to help. You need to be reimbursed for what you had to endure!

Mr. Flynn is being grossly overcharged by his lawyers, if he has $5 million in legal bills, as they have done nothing for him. Nor has Flynn done much for himself, as he could have started a gofundme. Stormy has been able to raise funds, not Flynn? Then, Flynn cannot decide what to do, even when before a court, being asked by the judge. Then nothing in his own defense, when the FBI even says he did not lie. Mr. Flynn has been silent, even in his own defense. Mueller accused Conti of lying, and he fought it.

Why can´t the republicans have a telethon & pay these legal bills, it´s the only decent thing to do. We need a leader.

The cost of even mildly effective criminal defense lawyers is more than most of us ever will (or want to) deal with in our life.
In the past couple years, I´ve casually known a couple people who had family members charged (one case, plead guilty on a plea deal, the other is awaiting trial). When you hear somebody is up on a $1 million bail (which usually requires a $100,000 or 10% payment to the bondsman), you can triple that bondsman payment to get a basic defense, even if guilty.
