In a series of indignant tweets on Thursday, President Trump pushed back on liberal outrage over his comments to ABC's George Stephanopoulos. I meet and talk to “foreign governments” every day. I just met with the Queen of England (U.K.), the Prince of Wales, the P.M. of the United Kingdom, the P.M. of Ireland, the President of France and the President of Poland. We talked about “Everything!” Should I immediately call the FBI about these calls and meetings? How ridiculous! I would never be trusted again.
In an Oval Office interview earlier this week, Stephanopoulos asked Trump, "Your campaign, this time around.

Today President Trump turns 73 – Happy Birthday President Trump! President Trump is doing all he can to help America recover after the eight horrible years of the Obama Administration. It has not been easy. America still has massive debt due to the $10 trillion added by Obama. Our FBI and DOJ and other federal agencies were politicized and made corrupt. There’s still lots more to do.But America is winning again. There’s no more Iran deal, no more Paris deal, no more 10% unemployment, no more jobs going overseas and south of our border, no more stagnant stock markets and no more flailing GDP.

As NBC Nightly News continued its monotonous drumbeat on Thursday to elevate liberal policy positions ahead of the Democratic debate they were holding, the network gave the megaphone to South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg in order to push for abolishing the Electoral College.
Correspondent Harry Smith let Buttigieg freely suggest the country had to “strengthen American democracy” because we were supposedly in an era of deteriorating voting rights. In reality, his “Big Idea” would damage the framework our founders put in place to protect the people from tyranny.“America over time has grown more democratic and I think that's a good thing, but it's not a one-way street.

At her weekly news conference, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) was asked whether it's appropriate at this time for Congress to give itself a pay raise."It's not a pay raise, it's a COLA increase," Pelosi responded. "And whether that comes to be, I don't know. It would have to be a bipartisan initiative."In this case, Congress could allow itself a COLA (Cost of Living Adjustment) that would raise lawmakers' pay by $4,500 to $178,500, up from the current $174,000. (According to the Congressional Research Service, members of both the House and Senate are paid a salary of $174,000. The House and Senate majority and minority leaders are paid $193,400; and

As House Democrats try to redo the Mueller investigation, Republicans are focused on the origins of that investigation -- what prompted the FBI to launch a counter intelligence investigation into the Trump campaign. Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.), a member of the House Oversight and Reform Committee, told Fox News Wednesday night that whistleblowers are starting to talk -- and he thinks indictments are coming. Meadows spoke on the same day the Democrat-led House intelligence committee held a hearing titled, “Lessons from the Mueller Report."The hearing was called to "explore the significant counterintelligence threats to the U.S. democratic system posed by the numerous links and contacts between members
