Exactly 233 years ago this week, two of America’s founding fathers documented their first exposure to Islamic jihad in a letter to Congress; like many Americans today, they too were shocked at what they learned. Context: in 1785, Muslim pirates from North Africa, or “Barbary,” had captured two American ships, the Maria and Dauphin, and enslaved their crews. (snip) Denied jizya from the infidels, Tripoli proclaimed jihad on the United States on May 10, 1801. But by now, America had six war vessels, which Jefferson deployed

I read Brian Kilmeade´s book, Thomas Jefferson and the Barbary Pirates. It is excellent.

George Washington: “In such an enlightened, in such a liberal age, how is it possible that the great maritime powers of Europe should submit to pay an annual tribute to the little piratical States of Barbary?” he wrote to a friend. “Would to Heaven we had a navy able to reform those enemies to mankind, or CRUSH THEM INTO NONEXISTENCE.” (Poster’s caps)
John Adams: “We ought not to fight them at all unless we determine to FIGHT THEM FOREVER.” (Poster’s caps). Considering the perpetual, existential nature of Islamic hostility, Adams may have been more right than he knew.”
One of most incomprehensible acts of God, I read of in Genesis, was that not only did He spare the life of Ishmael, but also foreordained him to prosper and to be the progenitor of “those enemies to mankind,” especially Christians and Jews, to this day. I can only say there must be a reason for it and God chose not to reveal why.

We learned about the Barbary pirates but not to the degree of the cost, the many years it took, and the lives it cost. We did NOT learn from history.

We should not be shocked. We should be prepared for the enemies embedded in this country, They are working diligently through political means to garner power and it is not because they love this country and want to participate in government. They are here to infiltrate, dominate and then subjugate. We must also acknowledge that democrat progressives will facilitate all this because they hate this country and its founding principles and will fall in with anyone who wants to destroy traditional America. It can’t be stared too strongly, our enemies are within the gates.

Jefferson had a quran because he wanted to "know thy enemy" not because he admired the cult.

ISIS and their cute little Caliphate just learned the same lesson as the Barbarians.
Do you suppose they will take it to heart?

God allows muslims to prosper and oppose all that is good and peaceful to test us, to try our faith and to fulfill his plan. If we already had peace here on earth we wouldn´d need the Kingdom of God.
Ishmael was destined to perpetually be a thorn in the side of humanity. Killing, conquering, enslaving humanity, as its god demands... blood, death, lust, the sins of the god of this earth.... "And he will be a wild donkey of a man, His hand will be against everyone, And everyone’s hand will be against him"

History is the key. Study history. It´s the key to all things current. Nothing happening now hasn´t happened before.

*9; I knew there had to be a Bible student or two in L-dot land. It does say it as you posted and your argument is good. I do prefer the King James version "he shall be a wild ass of a man."

#9 nails it.
He will be a wild ass of a man: rude, bold, fearing no man; untamed, intractable, impatient and lacking restraint.
His hand will be against every man - that is his sin.
Every man´s hand will be against him - that is his punishment.
Any questions about how to deal with these people?
Velvet glove or iron fist?

We had a Muslim living with us for a time. When I asked him why he never seemed to attend Mosque he said" "Because they teach hate and intolerance there".

Knowing several Moslems I´ve asked them all why they chose to rent church basements for private worship services, and their response has alway been "We so no reason to put up with what goes on in a mosque" ~ or other words to that effect.
Some of their prayer groups are quite large.
They restrict membership.

#5 proves the maxim remains true:
"Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it."
Years ago the Muslims fought with swords, then swords and guns.
Now they fight with swords, guns, planes, and IEDs.
If they get a nuclear weapon, then what?
Thank God for President Donald Trump.
If it´s humanly possible, he won´t let that happen.
Pray for this good man.
