For nearly two years, the American public, and quite a few observers overseas, have hung on Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s every word and action: each hire, each redaction, each revealing and yet opaque footnote in hundreds of filings. His fans have indulged in devotional candles and meme T-shirts. The document that Mueller delivered to Attorney General William Barr has been so eagerly awaited that its official name might as well be “The Highly Anticipated Mueller Report.” This must be uncomfortable for Mueller, who shuns publicity, doesn’t seem to have much taste for politics, and has maintained a silence
"For Trump, the end of the probe will deprive him of a villain—and he has succeeded most when he has had a villain, and has flailed when he has not."
Like the President doesn´t have a thousand other villains lurking around. Get real, Atlantic.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but I have mountains of back issues of National Review stored in a 20 foot container along with many other things that once mattered to me. I look forward to reading them in my senescence to remind myself of a once-great magazine.
I even have a few issues of Atlantic.

None of the bleating and badgering was Mueller´s doing, he was just a ghost in the background. The problem was the lying MSM, the anti-Trumpers and the frothing democrats trying to make something out of nothing.

When has PDT "flailed" without a villain? Not a single example. And furthermore, PDT has had this so called villain his entire Presidency so we have no idea how he will be without him. Pointless article.

What has Mueller ever done to make this country better off? Nothing, in fact the opposite. What have Schiff, Shumer, Pelosi, Feinstein, Mark Warner ever done to make this country better off? The same answer.

Herr Mueller did some nasty things, hoping to turn one of DJT´s allies against him and admit something, anything, to save themselves.
Sending 15 FBI agents, maybe more, with M-4 automatic rifles at the ready, to invade the apartment of Manafort, at 6 in the morning, doing a body search on the sick and elderly Mrs. Manafort who was in her nightgown, was done to frighten every other person who was targeted by Herr Muesser´s Gestapo team.Herr Mueller also trashed lawyer-client privilege so severely, every law school professor in the U.S. should have been protesting.
There was nothing honorable about Herr Mueller. There was noting honorable about his FBI Gestapo team.
And, finally, by indicting a few people for ´lying´ to the FBI, Herr Mueller has hamstrung the FBI for other cases, since only a damned fool would talk to the FBI.

It will be a much more sane, reasonable place without Mueller´s Gestapo.

Hi Ho the witch is really dead! Mueller has finally given the coup de grace to the Hilarity and her whinging excuses for her second defeat of her Clintonian Divine Right to be POTUS, this time by a non politician from outside the Washington political establishment.
