Democrat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg backed down from asking New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan on Tuesday to jail former President Donald Trump for allegedly violating a gag order, according to court reporters.[Snip] Bragg called for the Tuesday hearing to ask Merchan to punish Trump for allegedly violating his gag order. Merchan has the authority to fine and send the former president to jail for up to 30 days for allegedly violating the order. Bragg appeared to get cold feet in the hearing. He backed down and did not request the judge to punish Trump with jail time.

Joe Biden on Tuesday arrived in Tampa, Florida to attack the 6-week abortion ban during remarks at Hillsborough Community College’s Dale Mabry campus. Virtually no one cared that Joe Biden was in Tampa on Tuesday. Biden was greeted by a huge Laken Riley billboard truck.[Snip] Biden slurred through his short speech at Hillsborough Community College. At one point Biden tried to slam Trump but his wires got crossed and it went horribly wrong.“How many times does [Trump] have to prove we can’t be trusted!?” Biden shouted.

The head of the United Nations nuclear watchdog has said that it would take Iran just weeks to have enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear bomb, and that Tehran’s activity, alongside the limited access it grants to its facilities, “raises eyebrows.”
But International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Mariano Grossi told Deutsche Welle in a report published Monday that attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities should be a “no-go.”
Grossi said that Iran is “weeks rather than months” away from having enough enriched uranium to make a nuclear weapon.

Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is considering granting free-spending establishment Republicans and Democrats one of the top items on their wish list.[Snip]Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK), Johnson’s handpicked choice to take over the House Appropriations Committee after Rep. Kay Granger’s (R-TX) resignation in March, wants to “unlock the possibility of more earmarks,” Politico reports. The outlet says Cole wants to expand the use of earmarks, specifically in the massive Labor-HHS-Education funding bill — the largest non-defense funding bill — a move that could unlock hundreds of millions in earmarks.

That’s not constituent service. A Minnesota state senator was arrested early Monday on suspicion of first-degree burglary — hundreds of miles from her home turf. Nicole Mitchell, a 49-year-old first-term Democrat who reps the Twin Cities suburbs of Woodbury and Maplewood, was taken into custody after a homeowner called police in Detroit Lakes — 220 miles to the northwest — to report an intruder, according to local reports.
Mitchell, a former TV and radio meteorologist and a commander in the Air National Guard, was booked into the Becker County Jail, where she remained as of Monday afternoon, according to online records.

On Monday, a version of Donald Trump’s motion to compel discovery in the Mar-a-Lago documents case was released by Judge Aileen Cannon with much of the information originally redacted by Biden’s special counsel Jack Smith being unredacted. In one section titled "Early Indications of NARA Bias," which was heavily redacted in its original, January 16 version, it now states that NARA General Counsel Gary Stern sent an internal email attaching a draft letter to President Trump’s [Presidential Records Act] representatives. Stern noted that he 'had several conversations' with [White House Office of Records Management]’s

Key Democrats revealed new legislation Friday that would strip former President Donald Trump of his Secret Service agents if he is convicted and sentenced to prison. Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee, said it’s about making sure Mr. Trump doesn’t get special treatment for whatever crime he might be sentenced. He is worried that having to accommodate a Secret Service protective detail could lead to accommodations for a former president.

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly advanced the globalist foreign aid bill in a critical rule vote, seemingly putting the legislation on an easy glide to passage.[Snip] More Democrats (165) voted for the rule than Republicans. Still, a huge majority of GOPers voted to put America last. As The Gateway Pundit’s Jordan Conradson reported, the bill delivers $95 billion in foreign aid to Ukraine, Gaza, Israel, and Taiwan, with the bulk of it ($60.84 billion) going to the Ukraine sinkhole.

Hollywood star Michael Douglas said playing Benjamin Franklin when the Founding Father was 70 is giving him hope that 81-year-old President Joe Biden isn’t too old to serve another term.[Snip] “I was immediately struck. Like, 70 years old—in England or in America in 1800, the average lifespan was 39 years old. I think it gave me great faith in Joe Biden, and was a reminder that we can go on a lot longer than we thought,” the actor said. His comments come amid widespread concern on both sides of the political divide that Biden is too old to be president.

Joe Biden left for his beach house in Delaware on Friday, despite the threat of a potential attack on Israel by Iran hanging out in the wind. Before he left, his last public comment was to warn Iran, "Don't," then saying we would stand with Israel.[Snip] Now, it sounds like something may be up, because suddenly the word is that he's coming back to D.C. "White House says President Biden is returning to the White House from Rehoboth Beach, Del. this afternoon to consult with his national security team about events in the Middle East," Fox's Lucas Tomlinson announced.
Bloomberg's Jennifer Jacobs confirmed it, and said it was to "monitor" events.

Some things are sacred. Christmas. Easter. The Final Four. And, of course, Scrabble.[Snip] Scrabble, like Monopoly, Chess, and Poker, brings out the killer instincts in all of us. As the baddest predators on the block, we need to keep our skills and our canines sharp—as Grandma did. Gen Z, though, is filled with a bunch of socialists who believe that competition is the next worst thing to settler colonialism, so Mattel is dumbing down the game to appeal to people with the attention span of a gnat and the competitive instincts of a sloth.

Within hours of the massacre carried out by Hamas on October 7th, American-based activists took to the streets to decry Israel's response.[Snip]Meanwhile, normal people have been sitting around in disbelief, waiting for someone to enforce the rules against these entitled brats. Finally, on a sunny Friday in California, someone did. That someone is Pomona College President Gabrielle Starr. After a group of pro-Hamas protesters trespassed into an administrative building, she showed up, and she wasn't there to hand out cookies. Instead, she gave them an ultimatum. More importantly, she followed through on it.
