The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled in a major voting rights case involving whether Arizona voting restrictions are racially discriminatory.
The high court ruled Arizona’s out-of-precinct policy and HB 2023 do not violate the Voting Rights Act and were not enacted with a racially discriminatory purpose. The judgment of the Court of Appeals is now reversed, and the cases are remanded for further proceedings consistent with this opinion.
Justice Samuel Alito wrote the opinion for the majority and was joined by Chief Justice John Roberts, Justice Clarence Thomas, Justice Neil Gorsuch, Justice Brett Kavanaugh and Justice Amy Coney Barrett.

Buried at the bottom of the article is that this decision makes ballot harvesting illegal. This is the BIG deal.

Will this apply nationally? Is this the end of Mad Maxine’s daughter’s business?

Beat me to it #4. This is a YUGE win for the good guys here, and this should have ramifications nationwide. Ballot harvesting is one of the biggest fraud measures being employed all over the country by the Dems.

"..restrictions disproportionately hurt Latino and Native American voters.."
According to democrats, Latinos and Native Americans are too stupid to know where to vote and follow the law regarding voting and ballot handling. The democrats always argue in terms of denying someone his/her rights, but in fact are saying that that particular group is just too lazy or stupid to follow the rules/law.

Nothing changes until they admit the 2020 election was rigged using illegal mail in ballots. Closing the barn door after the horses have all escaped is worthless.

Great win for the people. Also, yesterday they agreed to take Mike Lindell's suit against Dominion. Another big one.

I sensed a few years back, when a number of "companies" were going door-to-door, allegedly inquiring about solar panel installation, or something related to your home, and had a clipboard in-hand, that they were actually canvassing neighborhoods for votes they could harvest.
There was a case in San Pedro, California where an apartment had 92 ballots delivered to a 2 bedroom apartment building.
I believe California enacted a law to make it legal to ballot harvest in 2017, which is why they had the 7 GOP House seats "flip" in 2018 election. They tried to do the same in 2020, but didn't have the same results, hopefully because the GOP knew how to play that game.
Wondering if the CA law would now be invalid based on this SCOTUS decision.

I have a hunch that the Supremes are going to stick it to the Democrats on these voting cases because of the Dems bluster about court packing and other threats. Time will tell!

This is styled "Mark Brnovich, Attorney General of Arizona, et al., Petitioners
v. Democratic National Committee, et al."
This is a case of "statutory interpretation" regarding the U.S. Congress' intent as expressed in the federal statute titled the "Federal Civil Right Act of 1965."
The minority opinion clearly argues that the majority opinion grievously misunderstands Congress' intent.
Prediction: Democrats in Congress will attempt to amend the Act to their liking and thereby (1) "clarify" what Congress really intended and (2) correct the terrible errors committed in this case by the befuddled majority opinion.
P.S. If you're interested in the amazing amount of "lawyering" expended, and the exceptionally large number of parties involved, take a quick look at the Court's docket at https://www.supremecourt.gov/docket/docketfiles/html/public/19-1257.html

6-3. The way it's supposed to be. Why isn't every case being decided 6-3?

It wasn't that long ago that just about everyone voted on election day. Absentee, mail-in, harvested ballots, etc were a very small percentage. Somehow Bubba Clintoon, and Obamanation managed to get elected twice with huge persons-of-color support under those rules. There is simply no truth that sensible guidelines for voting is denying anyone's right to vote.

So the supposed 'conservative judges' are doing something to mollify the base?? For me it would take making voting machines illegal and destroyed to do that. They completely blew it on the 2020 election.
