After years of prosecutors targeting Trump in search of a crime, Trump Organization CFO Allen Weisselberg “surrendered early Thursday to New York authorities for arraignment in the first criminal indictment arising from a two-year investigation into the former president’s company,” according to the AP.
The charges relate to paying perks for executives without showing those perks on their W-2 forms, and paying income taxes and payroll taxes on those perks.
I bet the WP, NYT and other media outlets will have trouble finding those charges against other corporations, so I am sure they will advocate for going after all corporations and entities
Everyone knows this is nothing but a political hit job by NY Demmunists. Two failed impeachments, countless failed attempts to take Trump down with invented scandals, and now this.
Dems are ruthless, evil, hateful creatures. They are parasites on our very existence. There will be a reckoning for all this, sooner or later.

An employer may pay for an apartment for an employee, if the apartment is provided for the convenience of the employer, such as the employer want the employee at a certain location. A corporation may have loaned money to an employee by paying tuition, or other personal expenses. Those are not compensation, but loans. Autos are provided to company executives all the time, as they are for visiting and marketing to potential customers. We have not heard from the defendant. All with have is a bunch of allegations from political hacks in NY, who themselves should have their law licenses canceled for political prosecutions in violation of ethical standards.

I pray that the Dems lose both the House and Senate next year. Karma is going to be such a female dog, as is payback.

This charge is minor and on the laughable side of things. Yes, Trump must be very clean if this is all they can charge his company with.

They found NOTHING. These charges would not have been pressed against ANYONE else.

The NY "authorities" were so busy investigating Trump for two years, I guess they didn't have time to scroll through Anthony Weiner's laptop and investigate a folder entitled "Life Insurance," which allegedly implicated many powerful politicians (including Huma and Hillary) in graphic and horrific videos. Weiner, who was later convicted, wasn't the only one who was interested in sex with minors. The NY Post subsequently reported that several NY City police officers involved with the case mysteriously committed suicide. (?)
The laptop was seized back in 2016, but don't worry, the FBI was involved, so I'm sure they will get around to it (and Hunter's laptop as well) once they're done investigating Trump. From what I understand, the Trump inquiry is wrapping up. They just sent a team of agents to check the pull ropes on the garage doors at Trump Towers, so we will see.

It seems to me that every employer who provides free coffee to their employees will have to keep track of how many cups each employee drinks so they can properly withhold taxes for the value of the coffee. And OMG, what about sponsoring a Christmas party or allowing an employee to borrow a truck for a weekend. Where will this end?

The evidence against Hunter Biden's criminality spills out all over the sidewalk and "law enforcement" does nothing.

This is all about wringing damaging info from the CFO of Trump’s empire. The goal is to find enough to at least indict FPDT on some charge. Weisselberg Holds the keys to all that. Understand, this is a state issue. IRS is not involved.

Hunter flies on Air Force 2 with Joe to attend a business trip in Mexico. He at least owes taxes on the cost of the flight.

We're supposed to be protected from unlawful search and seizure.
And his is an UNLAWFUL SEARCH into someone's business. This is against the law.
BUT. . .we have lawless people in authority, unfortunately.

I'm a little disappointed. I figured they could flip one of his hotel maids to finger Trump on tearing those "Do not remove under penalty of Federal Law" tags off the hotel mattresses.

DJT is extremely clean and more honest than any Democratic politician. A great employer and one who respects others. Not a dishonest dirtbag/elitist who thinks he or she better than the rest of us.
