Surveillance video shows the moment a pickup truck plowed into a garden center seconds after hitting people at a Pride parade in Fort Lauderdale.The video shows the pickup truck, flying a rainbow flag, driving through a fence and hitting plants at Fort Lauderdale Garden Center.Moments earlier, the truck had hit people at the parade, killing one and leaving another is in a critical condition. The tragedy occurred 7pm Saturday evening in Wilton Manors, 10 miles north of Fort Lauderdale, just as The Stonewall Pride Parade and Street Festival began. Reporters, for example, for four years damned Donald Trump for his neutralizing summation that there were both “fine people” and extremists mingled among the hordes of protestors during their occasionally violent encounters in Charlottesville, Virginia. It mattered little to the media that Trump added qualifiers of “many” and “both” sides of the protests: We condemn in the strongest possible terms this egregious display of hatred, bigotry and violence, on many sides . . .

A tornado ripped through the western suburbs late Sunday night, damaging more than a hundred homes and injuring several people, including a woman in critical condition. The tornado touchdown was confirmed about 11:10 p.m. near Route 53 and 75th Street in Woodridge, the National Weather Service said. The tornado, with winds likely over 100 mph, also hit portions of Naperville, Downers Grove and Darien, smashing cars, ripping roofs off homes, downing power lines, shearing off garage doors, uprooting large trees and spewing debris in the streets.

A 19-year-old woman shot by police Saturday during a Juneteenth celebration parade in Flint has died of her injuries, according to the Michigan State Police.
The woman, from Flint, was shot by a Flint police officer after she allegedly drove up to the officer and fired at him at about 2:14 p.m., police say.
The officer, who was injured, then shot the suspect. The incident took place on Saginaw Street near Leith Street.
The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, where she died of her injuries, police said.
