The Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada recently hosted its first-ever drag queen show at one of its on-base dining and entertainment clubs, according a base spokesperson. Nellis Air Force Base said in an email statement to Breitbart News: Nellis Air Force Base and the 99th Air Base Wing hosted its first-ever drag show Thursday, June 17, at the Nellis Club. The event was sponsored by a private organization and provided an opportunity for attendees to learn more about the history and significance of drag performance art within the LGBT+ community.

Comments:

Because nothing says "We're ready" to Russia, China, Iran, and North Korea quite like drag queen shows. Heaven help us.

You can bet they are under orders from the base political officer or higher. GI's have been fed lines of bull since Valley Forge and while they may be under orders to repeat it, they never believe it. I'm sure most are shaking their heads in disgust.

The Wing Commander should be summarily fired for loss of confidence in his or ability to lead. His Wing CMSgt also out. What these two are supporting are acts that are prejudicial to good order and discipline. What are the leadership of our services doing? Unconscionable. Fly, Fight, and Win used to describe the Air Force--no more.

Wow! Our military made it all these years without a Drag Queen Show! How did our military ever survive? Now they are prepared to go to the gay bars overseas, boy bars in Thailand, Boyzone in NYC, and anywhere else their new experience may take them. Maybe they will get some makeup tips and learn how to blend in with the LGBTQ community for those covert operations.

I have no problem with adults choosing to go to a venue where the entertainment is a drag queen show. I’ve been to a few and quite enjoyed them. Vulgar, over the top, and hilarious. They have been around forever without people freaking out. My parents in the 1960’s several times drove up to the Utah State Penitentiary to view a show called Felon Follies. There were singers, comedians and yes, drag queens. It was a hoot, so they said. Obviously there is no propaganda in the typical drag show. The drag queen story hour type thing and the horrors on children’s TV programs is another matter entirely and should be stamped out.

I suspect nearly every flier and maintainer has been to Nellis for a Red Flag or two. Entering the front gate was a sign that used to say, "Home Of The Fighter Pilot". I believe the sign was removed because it offended some folks who do not fly fighters. Red Flag is a combined force exercise to integrate all different types of aerial missions that the Air Force employs. The US Air Force Weapons School at Nellis graduates the top instructors in every type of aircraft flown. Nellis has long been (and continues to be) the testing and proving grounds to sharpen skills to their finest edge. The idea of a drag show is very weird; I don't imagine a lot of active duty folks attended.

The Debate Over Infrastructure Funding Gimmicks Is Exactly What’s Wrong With Washington 1 reply

After a conservative backlash, Republican senators negotiating an infrastructure bill have objected to an increase in funding and authority for the IRS. In lieu of additional revenue obtained from auditing taxpayers, how do lawmakers now propose to fund increased federal spending allegedly on roads and bridges? Through a budget gimmick. In short, Congress now wants to repeal a rule that 1) hasn’t gone into effect and 2) likely won’t ever go into effect, so it can take the phony “savings” associated with repealing something that won’t happen anyway and use it to “pay for” real increases in spending.

We love this country, but are growingly concerned with its top-down control. We love freedom, but that same freedom is abused by immoral and evil people, with an end result of far less freedom than before. The confluence of philosophy and reality weaves a complex – sometimes hopeful, sometimes bleak – future. Lately, I have found myself holding mutually exclusive thoughts regarding the current status and prospective future of America. The problem for many conservatives, as I see it, is that we are resolute in our defense of many American principles but simultaneously recognize a growing problem

The economist Thomas Sowell distinguished himself in the early 1970s as a critic of the traditional civil rights leadership, but in earlier decades he had been optimistic about the direction of the civil rights movement. Sowell was born into an extremely poor family in rural Gastonia, North Carolina, during the Great Depression and raised in a New York City ghetto in the 1940s. Like many other blacks of that time and in those places, his family was uneducated. The men mostly worked as laborers or in the service sector, and the women typically were domestics. Racist laws had reduced opportunities for black Americans and thus limited their upward mobility. CORRECTION*
