"What a narcissistic power-hungry egotist," Ayelet Waldman screeched. The hateful leftist spouse of extremist author Michael Chabon was responding to Justice Stephen Breyer's call for finding common ground.
Lefties had already been furious at Breyer for refusing to resign. And then for urging Democrats to respect the rule of law.
But this genial chat was what really made social media lefties lose their minds.
The country may be increasingly divided along partisan lines, but Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer said Friday that he remains optimistic that America's system of democracy will continue to work.
“I am basically optimistic, and I don't know how much that's justified."

"Common ground" seems to be either entirely gone, or rapidly heading that way, unfortunately.

The Khmer Rouge were killing people who had eyeglasses. Eyeglasses meant you could read and if you could read you were a threat to their insanity, so they killed you. THAT is the degree of evil that is increasingly being not only accepted, but required for the bleeding edge of ' progressives ' in our country. They will not stop. They are rabid and determined to remain that way until they can't scream, burn, attack or claw away at anything decent and normal.

I have nothing in common with communists. I do not believe in democracy. We have a republic. The distinction seems to be a great part of Breyer's error.

Pray fervently that God will keep Justice Breyer healthy, so the fanatics now in charge won’t be able to replace him with a judicial anarchist created in their own image.

Compromising with commies is like mixing manure and ice cream. It doesn't improve the manure and it ruins the ice cream.

To quote Thomas Sowell:

SCOTUS has created so MUCH dissent in the US over the last 50 years - Bakke, Karl Rove Wade, Souter, now Roberts - damn fence sitters are to settle it with the US Constitution, not cut hairs & split the baby and make lawsuits come back due to 'narrow' rulings. Chicken....livers...

As it always has, Common Ground to Leftists means: the Commiecrats own the ground in which they intend to bury the Republicans.

The screeching LEFT has long planned for America's demise and they will have nothing less ... UNLESS they are stopped from cancelling, burning down cities,
and falsely calling all whites racists. The Battle of Athens happened in 1946 IN AMERICA (look it up). It shows what actually happened when reasonable Americans of the Greatest Generation faced traitorous & corrupt opponents (as we do now) intent on violently & fraudulently subverting America:

Civil War historian Shelby Foote once noted that Americans like to think of themselves as uncompromising people. He added that nothing could be further from the truth, and that our whole system of government is based on compromise. What started the civil War was our failure to compromise on key issues of the time. We are now seeing that same failure to compromise all over the country and I fear that it will not end well for anyone.
